  1. Listned to it yesterday on the main page, good stuff Evan .
  2. Hey, What's up hhhdx_era, Which version of '94 are you playing? If it's the gens version: go to netplay under "file" and enter a user name, then click on the "all servers" tab to ping the servers. Some of the popular servers for '94 are: Godweapon1, Sonic Cage Dome and Anti3d Hope this helps, hit me up on aim sometime for a game. edit: forgot to say make sure your using gens 2.11 for netplay. It's on the dl section of the main site if you need it.
  3. Okay, we have an update with one more team being added into the fold: Bo Knows NHL94 / sNo Bo arder - Dallas clockwise / Cam Kneely - Penguins HABS / toronto1cougar - ? Evan / in54time - ?
  4. Played 2on2 for about 3 hours last night. Once everybody got the flow going, and teammates got it together, there were some awesome tick-tack-toe one timers. Lots of high scoring OT contests as well. Here is a screen cap GorilliaOilers took from one of the games: I think we won this game 8-7 in OT. Games were split with each team winning 5 games. In short, 2on2 is a blast. Im throwing GorilliaOilers name into the hat if anyone is sitting on the fence and hasn't signed up yet or doesn't have teammate. So far we have: clockwise / Cam Kneely - Penguins HABS / toronto1cougar - ? Evan / in54time - ? nhl92fan, pavel, gr8199kings, Nick, GorilliaOilers and ken. Someones has to join forces out of this bunch. Only 4 teams are necessary. The tournament could be the best of three between teams. There would only be six preliminary games before the finals, I think everyone can handle this. Six games can be done in one sitting. Lets get the show on the road.
  5. All you have to do is transplant the gameplay and graphics from 93/94 into 95. Season/stats/trades are already there. Only thing I would like is: when a player is injured have an ambulance come out and run over everyone on the the ice while picking up the injured player, like in Madden 92. And if a player gets crunched into the boards have him wobble around for like ten seconds (he can still carry the puck/shoot/pass) like when a player gets punched out bloody in 93.
  6. This is great, I remember hearing about this. Can people call in and get on the air? I want to share some tips and stuff, like tell the listeners that playing 94 nude-sitting indian indian style, is the only way to connect with your inner 94..and the only way to truly become...One..with 94. And..Have you ever played 94...On, weed man? It's wack..wack!
  7. Maybe someone should write a letter or something to one of the developers from 94? Perhaps one of them could help us out.
  8. I gotta object..Chicago is the best team, "unfair" if you want to call it that. My reason? Belfour.
  9. The reason why it's like NHL on crack it beacuse it's meant to be played on a PAL Mega Drive. If you load it in Gens and set region to PAL the speed is the same as NHL 92.
  10. It's probably somewhere in the vicinity of 3000 for me. I would have to be weaned off if I were to stop now .
  11. Best team on any player is Chicago for the Roenick. Usually I like to play with the Yzerwings. note to self: beer impairs my ability to formulate sentences.
  12. Most of the penalties that aren't self inflicted occur when a player speed bursts a defensive player into the opposing teams offensive zone, then changes to a different player.
  13. Have to admit i indulged in a little 95 the other day..Just to see if it was a bad as I remember.
  14. Damn right I mind, but only so I can be the one to disagree.
  15. Great vid man, love all those great passes!!! I think the one I like the most is from behind the cage You guys have great synergy how long have you and case been doing two teammates?
  16. The elevated goalie ratings are something I really like, it makes the game more challenging to score. I do agree that some of the player ratings don't make sense, mainly shot accuracy, but I just tune a player in nose if I feel somethings out of place. The new net/crease is cool too. Overall I'd give the roms 9/10.
  17. Sorry man. I'd scan the cover art for you if I had a scanner but I don't.
  18. The only difference I can detect is in the controls: They seem tighter on a console. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with calibrating the controlls in an emulator or what. Emulators are great: I can make vids from the save state replays, netplay, etc...But I enjoy playing on a console more if I have a friend over.. mabye it's cause I'm a sucker for old times, growing up playing with a gang of friends in front of the tube. I've been thinking of buying a md-pro 64 plus from http://www.tototek.com/ so I can play the 2006, all-star nhl94 roms on my genesis. Has anyone bought one from them?
  19. This one hockey game I used to play at my local arcade as a kid. It was a shoot out style game, the goalie would maneuver back and forth while the plastic puck would shoot out from one of the two holes from either sides of the golie. You had three sixty second periods to one time as many goals as you could.. The guy would yell "He scores!" and the crowd would go wild every time you'd put one in the net...I loved that game!
  20. CamKneely and I have joined forces, we're going to use the Penguins.
  21. http://www.estarland.com/product23540.html I've purchased from them many times.
  22. If you wait for the credits to scroll all the way down before the menu screen appears the final credit says: EA Hockey League Champion Kevin Hogan. I'm curious did EA have a NHL tournament? Does anyone one know anything about this? EA did have a tournament at the pro bowl every year for the Madden games between the NFC and AFC. NFL players from each confrence would clash. It was mostly a promotional thing. edit: Here's the pic.
  23. Once in a while I'll wind up for a slap shot and the player will freeze like a statue, the shot *whifff* will cue. Then after about a second or two the player will fire the puck into the stands at like mach 3 Off topic here: I was playing some multi tap online a week or so ago, and the puck was fired from the neutral zone and it landed behind the golie on the goal line, and it just sat there! After about a 3 seconds it poped itself in. I would have made a save state of the replay to make a vid but you can't netplay.
