  1. Internet started sucking ass, but I'm back now. The New Orleans Corsairs select David Booth.
  2. If only I was lucky enough to buy my copy when it comes out. It's possible I could sell my NHL 12 copy to get it.
  3. I should probably look into it and then let you guys now. EDIT: Well, you can find people who are in your address book of any IM programs you're using so that you're able to see which ones are using Twitter. As for URLs on individual tweets, see here: https://support.twitter.com/groups/31-twitter-basics/topics/112-linking-to-your-blog-or-website/articles/80586-how-to-link-directly-to-an-individual-tweet# Promoting your profile: https://support.twitter.com/groups/31-twitter-basics/topics/108-finding-following-people/articles/20005336-how-to-promote-your-profile# Twitter community accounts: https://support.twitter.com/groups/31-twitter-basics/topics/109-tweets-messages/articles/20169420-about-twitter-community-accounts
  4. And as for the easy part, it is actually quite easy, if you pardon the small redundancy. Remember that there's an online code you need to type in when you buy a new copy from either the PS3 or the X-Box 360 version and once you got that code in, you're ready to go. I think it also helps that you have an EA World account in order to use some extras you may want such as a 3d avatar for your NHL games and you can just as easily make a new account if you bought EA games such as Dragon Age.
  5. Could I interest anyone in creating a Twitter account that features all related stuff going on in NHL94.com in an effort to spread the word further about the community? Who knows what kinds of response we may have, but I think we can experiment on that. Who wants to step up and go for it?
  6. If this is my turn now, I'll pick Gabriel Landeskog.
  7. This feels like a subjective topic around who likes the older games or who likes the newer games. I mean, most people like the EASHL feature, they'll make the GM mode a lot better with online play and I'm pretty sure that though most people wouldn't make it to the NHL in real life, there's something good about making your own player and just play out the career (And you have the option of simulating whole seasons if you want to). Of course, this isn't a knock on the older games. I just think that there's something for everyone depending on their tastes.
  8. Sent my list to Robbie-robbie, in case anyone asks.
  9. The New Orleans Corsairs pick Jaroslav Halak.
  10. Seems to me that there is an offensive cornucopia in the 1st round here. Okay then, here's my choice... The New Orleans Corsairs select John Tavares.
  11. I've quite an idea and a team that's never been used in ice hockey... almost ever. The New Orleans Corsairs. Team colors are gold, white and purple.
  12. Is there still space or do I go to the waiting list?
  13. I still need to find some of the guys left. We need to finish the season soon.
  14. I wonder if you can mix Weight along with Agility's supposed ability to resist body checks. It may be factorized as to how many checks are needed to take down a single guy. Sometimes it's just one, others two or three. Trying to connect with body checks in succession may not always work unless you hold down the player and trap him into a sandwich that'll make it easier to bring him down. I would say that acceleration comes into play a lot as much as twisting and turning does when it comes to Agility. There are many speedsters such as Mogilny, Bure, the Courtnalls and Modano that can blaze by just fine, even though they may come down with a Cold streak. However, some skaters can move by rather fast even though Speed isn't low. Wayne Gretzky, who's got 6/4 in Agility and Speed, still moves pretty fine as though he's Barishnikov on the ice and can catch up rather well. But then again, it is Wayne Gretzky.
  15. I think that this really depends on the coach's skill in question when you're moving around with the goalie who's controlling the puck. Y'see, one of the first things your instincts tell you is to get that puck moving, especially when you're trying to get that oh-so needed goal and the goaltender might just be the one guy that sparks up the play. So then, you try to make the play and you pass as you find the right angle, the right spot and the right player to pass the puck. It takes some good control, vision and quickness to get the play right, but this is one of the best plays you can make. Look, I'm not a stats/hack nerd like Smoz is. My point is some goalies can do it pretty well and it all depends on what you're doing with them. I should probably make a list on some of the best passing goalies tomorrow.
  16. I actually chuckled at that Dolan pic. Let it pass?
  17. They don't have offensive awareness in 94, do they?
  18. I hope to find more of the guys later on. The only other guy I've found is gretzjyandcold.
  19. I think the site should be a permanent fixture and linked here on the list.
  20. ...Well, crap. I thought I also had Tikkanen in there too. Guess I was wrong.
  21. The set I won over the pool of the 2010 World Cup has every one of the star players of the teams, including Tikkanen when I recieved it. I still have the box even today.
