  1. I should be around from 5:30pm Pacific onward tonight for games if you are lookin to play a few. You'll see me on AIM
  2. Well Dallas is much better than my previous Ottawa. I am lookin forward to it. Gotta train up Mike Modano and the boys. I'll pop on AIM in the next few weeks if I can for practice if anyone is game.
  3. When I got my DS and M3 thats about all I really wanted on it was NHL 94, well aside from the DS and GBS games. I am yet to try a Gens emulator but I'll try and fire one up in the next few days and report back. You have a flashcart currently or is this your first? The ability to play music, watch movies, view pictures and play tons and tons of games is awesome. Throw on Blades of Steel for shits and giggles or the equally timeless Ice Hockey with the Fat, Medium and Skinny guys.
  4. It's been a while since I posted so here goes. In the "off season" I have been aquiring some training aides. Aides (not AIDS) that have allowed me to play NHL 94 any where my heart feels fit via my Nintendo DS. Now I should say that I have the SNES version working but I believe you can get Genisis emulators as well for the DS but I have not verified. If you have a flashcart or similar for your DS, do yourself a favour and download a version of snesDS that works for your cart. I have the M3 adapter which reads SD cards (also comes in CF as well) and find version 11-27 works for me. Now the emulation is not perfect and some of the menus and overlay graphics are a tad distorted and occasionaly you get some really strange sounds effects, but the gamelpay itself is pretty much perfect. I just thought I would share my joy with the NHL94Online community. Hopefully netplay will be implimented in the future but I wouldn't hold your breath. If you want the files check out here: http://www.cs.utah.edu/~tew/snesDS/ The instructions suck so you might have to dig around on the forums listed on that page for help with your cart and/or setup. If you want my help feel free to PM me. If I had my camera I would send some screens but I am without it at the moment.
  5. Forgive my ignorance, but some of the proposed changes such as equal strengthed players and other game hacks, is this easily possible for the SNES? I know the sega CD version is more easily modable. I personally like the way the rules are set up now. I don't think it would be as exciting if there were Mtl vs Mtl or teams with generic players with equal ratings. Mind you I say this as the coach of Ottawa so I am just looking forward to coaching any other team A reverse draft or something similar I am interested in. It would be a challenge and an equalizer for the elite coaches to try thier hand with a less talented team. my 2 cents.
  6. lol. I will do. Sorry guys I have been away for the last few days but am ready to play a few games today if you are around, or possibly this week if we schedule. Long weekend commin up and I am outta here next Thursday night. I have been runnin a few practices with Ottawa and boy can those guys ever not take a pass. bouces off their heels like crazy! Add me to your AIM. I will use that primarily for hockey, IE I will be on that when I am available to play. my msn is on 24/7 so I may not be there when you message despite the status indicator.
  7. Hello all. I would like to formally annouce my tenure as the new head coach of the Ottawa Senators. Lets hope I can get a few more W's and make a run for the post season Game On! I can be reached at: AIM: smackNHL94 MSN: work_brent@hotmail.com
  8. As an outsider to the league, but an avid player of NHL 94, I would love a small chat room located somewhere on the site so that players can meet up to organize games. I know you use the forums for scheduling league play for more casual play a simple chat would be great. they have something similar on s3dconnector.net for play of Settlers of Catan
  9. Typically the port used is 7845. There is also a guide on this site that might be of assistance to you. http://nhl94online.com/html/snes-zbattle-howto.asp For security purposes I wouldn't really suggest going straight to your modem or DMZ but if you must for league play just make sure you switch back after that.
  10. err. Sorry didn;t mean to step on your toes. If there are other openings I again would love to play. Please PM me here if this is the case.
  11. I would love to take over Philly or any team for that matter but I am currently relegated to a Wireless connection. I hosted a game against Fenty so he can tell you what it was like. It hiccupped a few times but for the most part it was good. Someone is better than no one coaching I would assume.
