  1. Case and I played Xstioph's SNES NHL94 3on3 game last night for the first time. We loved it!! Kick ass!! Xstioph how long did it take you to make this 3on3 great game? Thanks Xstioph!! Cheers!
  2. I also sent the note to EA Product Submissions: Thank you for your interest in Electronic Arts. The kind and gentle lawyers at EA LAW have strict policies on product submissions and game ideas. Please read their policies below, and be aware that we do not review or keep email messages sent to this address (and we don't mess with our legal department either!). 1. Product Submissions. Electronic Arts does not accept any product submission for consideration without a signed Product Submission Agreement <see attached>. If you have a playable demo of your product, and are interested in submitting your demo for consideration, then please complete and sign the attached Product Submission Agreement and return it and your game demo to our address below. Please note that we are only interested in playable demos of your product. We do not review design documents. 2. Game Ideas. EA has thousands of game developers all over the world who keep thinking up new games and new game features. Sometimes we implement these ideas right away; sometimes we save them for later; and sometimes we decide not to use them at all. We don't consider other ideas because we don't want there to be any misunderstanding in the future about where the ideas came from. Because people who love to play games often come up with the very same ideas, we won’t be able to treat your idea as confidential or proprietary. And, because we only keep ideas that were thought up by EA employees, we can’t keep your idea on file. We recognize and very much appreciate the effort that went into your submission. Keep on playing games! And, keep on thinking! Maybe someday you’ll be the next great game developer! If you are interested in joining the EA team and you are over the age of thirteen, go to www.jobs.ea.com and create a profile. If you are thinking about pursuing education in interactive entertainment, check out the EA Academy at jobs.ea.com/eaacademy/index.html. Good luck! Electronic Arts Product Submissions (EA Partners) 209 Redwood Shores Parkway Redwood City, CA 94065 USA EA NHL 08 Recent news http://www.easports.com/nhl08/news.jsp?id=mediaquotes NHL 08 game features http://www.easports.com/nhl08/features.jsp EA NHL 08 Reviews: Sportsgamer Blown Away! on NHL 2008. Aug. 15, 2007 "I'll put this as blunt as possible; NHL 08 is a brand new game and EA SPORTS has outdone themselves again. I have never seen a team pay this much attention to detail on every aspect of hockey." What Team XBOX has to say about NHL 08 Jul. 30, 2007 "...EA's NHL 08 showed us that the Canadian wing of gaming's juggernaut has no intentions of resting on its maple leaves." "This new level of control in NHL 08 makes a night-and-day difference in terms of the offense nature of the franchise; similar in scope to the NHL's rule changes that opened up the scoring the last two seasons." Game Informer Online Comments on NHL 08 "Goalie Mode" Jul. 30, 2007 "With new goalie control, a fully featured create-a-play system, a new team practice mode, super fluid skating and the ability to finally be able to take control of the goalie, we're looking forward to summer ending and getting our boys back out on the ice." Jeff add on: Yeah I've heard that every year but it's the same bad gameplay, bad goalie control and the hitting sucks!! It's like take a look at NHL Hitz Pro for PS2.Great gameplay, great graphics and great close in face-off feature. Just the manual goalie sucked and more deke goals should go in. With the new better goalie control feature in NHL 08 maybe now finally again there will be a hockey video game from EA worth playing!! The gameplay should be like '94!! Linden!!
  3. To EA Customer support Hi Jeff here from BC Canada I always thought the EA NHL'94 hockey video game series was great until EA sports butchered NHL'95. The players for NHL'95 and even the fans in the seats around the rink were worse. The gameplay was too fast. Their legs were too long. The instant replay was way too fast. The Madden series got better the NHL hockey series got worse. Please bring back classic NHL'94 gameplay!! Discussion Thread Response Hi Jeff, Thanks for the prompt response! I am truly sorry for your situation, and the inconvenience that this caused you. I would really love to help you, but in all honesty, this information is not available to us as you have reached technical support. I really would not have any means of even redirecting your question to the development team. It's their decision and we do not have any control of it. The best thing I could offer is for you to please post on the appropriate game forum. These forums are maintained and monitored by the community leaders and production team. By posting on these forums you will be able to submit direct feedback to the appropriate person. Please make sure that you follow the EA terms of service when posting. We have thousands of employees world-wide who are constantly generating and developing game ideas, games and new game features some of which we build, but many we do not. Because of our creative scope, we do not look at unsolicited product ideas or game concepts from people outside of Electronic Arts. We may review third-party products, but only after they have been built to a fully playable prototype (a working game). If you have such a prototype or if you have further questions, please contact productsubmissions@ea.com for more information about our submission process. Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts games in the future please visit our website and review our extensive Self Help knowledgebase (http://support.ea.com). Thanks! EA Technical Support Jeff add on comment: Prototype More like who has the old SNES NHL'94 software? They can add a few things like roster updates and drop pass and such and stick it on a playstation3 and PSP.
  4. I think it's a great idea. Nice you have just added a new dimension to the game!! Thanks!! Cool!! I'll try it with Case.
  5. Thanks Clockwise Snes9k might support 4 tap, I'll look into that. Clockwise is the Genesis 2on2 league only 2 guys a side? Wouldn't you rather have 5on5 with 2 teammates on each team? Can you play 5on5 with 2 teammates on each team online? I have seen a few Genesis videos but I don't know if that is online play. Is there a plan to have a Genesis 5on5 2 teammates on each team league? I found a frequently asked question on zbattle: When will zbattle.net support more than 2 players? This is a limitation of ZSNES, so it's really up to its developers. zbattle.net cannot support more than 2 players until ZSNES does.
  6. When will someone figure out how to do 2 on 2 for the SNES? Is there any other way to do 2 on 2 for the SNES if ZSNES and zbattle is not the answer? Will ASNES figue it out? Or will there be someone else someday that will invent a server that can hold up to 5 players at once? Ahhhh When?

  8. Thanks Evan. For your great work on this site keep it up. 94. How are the 2 maps (one for Genesis) and (one for SNES) coming along? Showing people where everybody lives online with little dots representing them on the map. Can you make the 2 world maps really big. It will be cool to show how worldly this game is. Take your time.Could it be done in a few months?
  9. I never look at the hot and cold lists. I have my lines and back ups and if egg is right then we shouldn't care about it either. If the hot and cold streaks don't work what a waste of time looking at them. Or is there proof that they do work? But I'll go with whatever I'm told or what the poll results are. If Linden or Bure were on cold steaks I'd still put them in.
  10. I've had a few games online playing with Case mostly as teammates.Good times. We need to figure out how 2on2 is going to work for the SNES NHL94. Case said it could maybe work if he was at my house and we played against 2 other guys that were at the same house also. I wonder if it would work 2on1 if Case is at my house and we play againt 1 other guy online. This of course will only be until we find a better way to do it like the Genesis where they don't have to be at the same house. Is there two SNES NHL94 guys that live close to each other so we can try this 2on2 game sometime? Evan that map would come in handy for this. Knowing where everybody lives and what system they play.
  11. What a waste. So I need to look for another way to record online video for the SNES NHL94. Is ZM files the same as ZMV files? So The ZMV files only record the button you push like A,A,B,A. weird. To play an zmv file, you need the rerecording enabled version of ZSnes and the ROM image of the game, in addition to the zmv. TODO: Add instructions - can not be done yet. No ROM requests. What is ZMV? zmv is the movie capture format of ZSnes, a SNES emulator. zmv is not a multimedia file. It's only a recording of which buttons were pressed during the play. It does not contain image data or program code. This kind of recording is not portable between emulators, because different emulators have slightly different timings (and the file formats differ too), and the movies depend heavily on the timing. Xstioph what recording player did you use for your video?

  13. Only exhibition or do you want to go for the Cup. 1 game 10 min periods offsides on. Or exhibition. The fun game? Yeah lets meet in zbattle. I don't have MSN. Maybe I'll get it back one day.
  14. Yes lets celebrate this great game and not trash talk each other.
  15. Wags are you trying to start a fight? What is with the name calling? Case has a girlfriend. Calling people gay or mental just isn't the point of this website. Why are you thinking about gay stuff anyways? I couldn't imagine going to a topic and picking a guy and posting that he is gay what a waste of time and very negative. I'm morning the death or Chris Benoit and his family. Your calling people names. Please stop it and be more positive. I think everybody here is cool because they like NHL94. So be happy and say nice things.
  16. Once everybody plays against each other enough in zbattle. It could work. I see how Case would want a clean game once in awhile maybe not in league play. When someone scores a cheap goal you call it out and then your able to try as many wrap around/cross crease goals until you even the play up. But in league play Case they are probably going to try and score on you any way they can.
  17. (Xstioph @ Jun 24 2007, 07:40 AM) So.. I finally put together a video of my own. Installed and fooled around a bit with Adobe Premiere yesterday, and some today. Some goals and hits and stuff. My favorite is probably the one where Owen Nolan flips the puck over a defender and then Sundin one times it while it's in the air! It's just clips with me vs cpu for now. I have a friend who I play frequently with, but we never recorded any stuff, will probably do so in the future though! Great SNES NHL'94 Video Xstioph!! Great slap shot goals!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_ruSsG3Y7I Xstioph's 2nd SNES NHL'94 Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGCtaMPmOv4 SNES NHL'94 HALL OF FAME PLAYS 1. 18. I don't see how this can be done disallowing cross crease goals in online league play. There will always be border line cheap goals getting scored. So who makes the call? Verbal wars could break out. So it's every goal is aloud. We all play NHL94 because it has the best manual goalie control in the world. So any goal can be stopped.
  19. SNES NHL95 CREDITS To the music, sound, organ, player portraits and player rating guys I know it probably wasn't your fault for this NHL95 abortion of a game.

  22. 2 on 2 games should also be offside on. Can you imagine the cherry picking without it. I'm not saying I won't play with offsides off. It's just sad. Your playing an NHL product and not following the rules the NHL has in place for cherry pickers. I'd cherry pick like everybody else and cheapen the game and win big time. I'd hang around the opponents net and have Case feeding me great passes non stop for easy break away (bread and butter) goals. SNES doesn't have 2 on 2 online yet so I'll ask you Genesis guys How's the 2 on 2 league going? Offsides on?Any problems? Can you have a 2 on 2 game online with just 6 guys on the ice including the goalies and edit all the other guys out? That way you guys won't have that problem with the computer guys going offside. If so how's that? What if a guy gets knocked out of the game or gets a penalty? Are there a few guys on the bench as reserves? Can you go 5 on 5 online? Does it work okay? Offsides on? If all the players were good there shouldn't be too many offsides.
  23. To Wags QUOTE(IAmFleury @ Jun 13 2007, 02:15 PM) Wags, haven't you learned your lesson about trash talking yet? It's great I made this topic. Offsides should be on. I get plenty of breakaways with offsides on. SNES of course. You think they should be off? If so then your mental! Like a little child that doesn't understand what a blue line is that just wants to shoot the puck around blindfolded. Wags your a jerk. Don't respond to my topics. Wag your little tail away from me Catwoman. I must respect hockey rules more because I'm Canadian. It feels cheesy to score on a guy being offside.
