  2. I believe there are some people that really want to improve their game and spend extra time to practice and work on things. There are also others (I am in this one) that just play it when they have a couple minutes here or there and just do it for fun as a way to unwind and relax. I think that your track record speaks for itself that spending time improving your game has great rewards as you are very successful in every league you aren't kicked out of now. I think you need to understand that some people just enjoy playing the game the same way they did when it first came out and aren't interested in learning all the nuances of the pass shot, CB check, making a goalie dive so you can shoot in an empty net rebound and so on. I will say that when I was online more and played in all the leagues and 2on2 and exibs I was at the top of my game and played against anyone. I would say that getting swept in GDL playoffs by frey was almost as enjoyable as winning the B leagues due to how intense the games were and how exciting the skill level was. That was years ago and I haven't played an online game in probably a year. As life changes I am not looking to be practicing and doing exhibs as I just don't have the time to do that. Sign on maybe 60 min a week, play some games and repeat the next week in a league. All in all I think there is some legitness to your post plabax, but I think you shouldn't be telling people how they should be enjoying their time playing an online video game in either A or B leagues or how to run leagues that you are on the brink of being removed from even though you are probably the best player in it. I would just enjoy your time on the top of the mountain and let the lesser players enjoy their own experience in their own way and not have to worry about having to hear from you if they aren't doing things exactly how you think they should be doing things.
  3. I'll second that one. You guys are both nice and I have never had any issues with either of you but this is a little creepy.
  4. so essentially since you have your hand in every league and some sort of prejudice against me i will no longer be able to play in any leagues?
  5. was i removed from the waiting list? i signed up but no longer see myself there.
  6. If you are worried about classic leagues having a low participation you could always just have it be like and NCAA style tournament as a change of pace. Maybe have a 20 game regular season and a playoff where everyone makes it. Playoff can be best of 3 depending on the size of the leagues.
  7. Gotta love when teams either have negative points or under .300 winning percentage and are looking at being in the playoffs. Good job rallying the troops King!!
  8. You can replace me. Having no chance of making the playoffs has made me totally lose interest. You can put me on the B league waiting list for next season.
  9. Just because you can't beat me in any leagues we played in doesn't mean you have to go in attack mode... lol
  10. I'd really like to know what your personal vendetta is against me. You are the first to police everyone for starting forum hissy fits yet your negativity goes on without any reprocutions...... Interesting how that works...
  11. Really.... Really..... We played two periods of a game in which you were winning 8-2 and I think you were up 3-0 within 90 seconds. I had 2 shots on goal and had the puck maybe 30 seconds. As I told you in our conversation last night obviously that is not enjoyable for me and didn't want to play the rest of our games that night. I even told you I didn't want to quit and would have no issues playing the other members of the league. I see no reason to do this except to remind everyone that you have some kind of authority here.... Furthermore, having two giant leagues of A and B is a bad idea every time it's been around. 10-12 team leagues are the best because skill level is very similar. If I were a team like Detroit and you were LA that would be a better matchup than you with New Jersey and me with Hartford as those teams are similar in skill level yet you are so much better than me it's scary.
  12. The return of clockwise to A! Doesn't get much better than that.
  13. As a heads up I am not available to play from 9/26 to 10/8 due to vacation.
  14. I agree with Icestorm here but also can totally understand the opposite against him. That is why I prefer to play in the B league compared to A. The B leagues tend to be a more flowing and natural game where there are rarely any glitch goals (pass shot, floaters that make the goalie dives, shots from behind the net, ect...). Whenever I watch the A leagues youtube videos and it's nothing but glitch goals it really makes for a lame viewing. I'd hate to lose a very close game due to the new CB check or any of the other glitch goals that at times can be unstoppable. I'm not going to quit Blitz but I would imagine you will see a drop-off in games played by some if glitch goals start outnumbering the regular goals.
  15. I would modify team picking as well. I would essentially have a draft for teams. Start with the weakest player in the league at #1 and strongest as last pick. That would even things out to where the weakest players might be able to break .500 and make for a very balanced league.
