  1. Right, is there a way to put those tiles together?
  2. Well, I don't know if it will solve your problem, but to my chagrin I was putting the codec in planar and not linear. Whoops.
  3. I've been tinkering with the NHL '94 roms to try and edit logos and the like, and have hit a wall with Tile Molester. For whatever reason, the offsets I've used before do not work, and I think something is wrong with Tile Molester. These gaps appear inbetween the picture. Has anyone run into this before? I've attached a picture of what I'm talking about.
  4. My problem is that I can't change the palette. I'm trying to replace Phoenix with Winnipeg and can't get the palette to change to the blues and reds I have for Winnipeg's jerseys. The jerseys display fine but I cannot change the palette for the ice-logo or the team selection logo.
  5. I like the control scheme and it takes some getting used to. However, if my buddy doesn't want to fork $2 for another copy so we can play each other it was a waste.
  6. It looks awesome but I hope there's a lite version. I might end up buying it anyway. Gulp.
  7. I don't know if anyone can help but I've followed the screen shots and cannot copy "allfiles.txt", it says illegal switch. Is there a way around this? Thanks.
  8. Editing these values provides some hilarious results. In NHL '94 with each set from 0096 to 9999 a change in the opposite direction actually propelled the skater in the direction. Goalies apparently do this move a lot because they fly down the ice almost as soon as play starts.
  9. Is it wrong I burst into laughter after hearing it? I sounds like how they used to butcher songs in console games moving them to a handheld. This is cool stuff.
  10. It's either going to be a blowout or a battle to the wire. It's either Hawks in 4, or Flyahs in 6-7. Flyers gonna Fly.
  11. I managed to polish up the hack I've been working on for the past few days. The team is not balanced, but the logos work and the colors not screwed up, so I'm happy. brettfirsthack.bin
  12. RockmanFan1991. Gens. I'd love to play some of the 2010 update with someone.
  13. I'd love to see ol' Cleveland get an NHL team again. But I'm sure I'll perfect my hack before the notion even comes up again.
  14. It appears that the redone logo for Tampa Bay has a different place on the ROM than the original logo that the bookmarks I have directs to. For the sake of alphabetizing the teams, Chicago's going on to altar to be sacrificed to get Cleveland in. Black and Red isn't as appealing as TB's colors, but the logo has the colors I need. Anyone know where the Selection Screen colors are? I've tried fooling around with the strips and they don't *seem* to be connected.
  15. Thanks! I'm going to have to edit that one next, that's a huge help! However, the original issue still stands. I've edited the displayed TB logo to mine in the .bin file in Tile Molester, save it, and I get an entirely different TB logo than what was originally there. In other words, There are 2? logos for TB, and I can't find it. You'll see what I mean in the pictures. The first one is after I've saved. The second is the open TM with the .bin being edited.
  16. Hi all! Thank you so much for all of the editing material you've provided, I love it. I've got a question about the rink logos, on the 30 team roster patch, though. I've been on a personal crusade to put Cleveland into the ROM, if nothing else to satisfy my dorm's thirst. (We love playing NHL 94/2010) I've had success changing the scoreboard banner, but when I went to edit the rink data, I found the logo in the ROM, using Tile Molester, and pasted the logo I created. However, after saving and opening in GENS, the Tampa Bay logo wasn't just the TB Logo, not mine, but it was a different logo entirely. Are there multiple sets of the logos in the .bin? I know there must be some differences because I've seen that the menu selection has different logos. tl;dr: Would you mind explaining where the different logo tiles are? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  17. Hi everybody! I've had NHL '94 on the Sega since I was a kid; I still love playing this game. Me and my roommate love playing the updated '94 ROM against each other, even though he's not very good at it. (I'm always the Blue Jackets and he's a Penguins guy...) I'm trying to customize the ol' 94 ROM with NOSE; which is great; but I'm so new to the whole thing that I'm having a lot of trouble. I'm looking forward to playing games online with people, who would've thought that we would be able to back in 1993!?
