  1. please do. what can I do to motivate you to create ANY programs/tools/apps for our beloved game?
  2. I'd like it if it had overall ratings calculated, but, of what we already know how to do, there really isn't much missing from that editor. it's a great tool.
  3. pretty much EVERYTHING I have found relating to hacking the SNES ROM is listed in the ROM mapping thread pinned to the top of the SNES hacking section. if it's not there, it's not here. what does "csv" mean?
  4. that's a very common problem for emulators and stand-alone gaming programs. if your old indie game or emulation program of choice lets you choose any size -- preferable holding to scale, at least as an option -- consider yourself lucky.
  5. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/11993-editor-v081/ http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/forum/120-snes-editing-how-to-tutorials-reference/
  6. I think the better solution would be taking those extra players back off and changing the pointers to the first goalie, first three forwards listed and the first two defensemen, too. that way, as long as you have a full six to ice, you won't have the crashing/freezing issue.
  7. when was the last version? I don't think there will be a "next" version unless somebody here takes it upon themselves to redo it... and that's a LONG shot in this sparse hacking landscape.
  8. oh, yeah. I don't know how y'all put up with any delay at all; the Flow can be broken so easily. the biggest key to the game for me is that immersion from seeing your -- and your opponent's -- inputs displayed so rapidly on the screen. that has always been my issue with the Genesis version on the system console and with emulation, but folks swear there isn't a delay difference between the systems... I notice it EVERY time and it is frustrating feeling the lack of response on the lesser system to the point where I fully understand the desire to minimize it as much as possible. Kega adding an even more noticeable delay is not okay. it's too bad there isn't a better option for Genesis emulation; it is really unfortunate for those that prefer that version.
  9. then why don't more people use that? or do they? I seem to recall that most don't....
  10. seriously; maybe half and half at the absolute most. why the aggression?
  11. I would if I knew how. it's the one problem that prevented me from releasing a Genesis hack. I had tweaked a bunch of the physics aspects and had the game playing like the SNES version with its accurate skating and actual fun. but, every time you wanted to see the players cycle through it would crash. fixing it was beyond me -- at that point at least -- and didn't seem to be worth the effort for my own stupid project. getting it set up for everybody else would make it worthwhile, though. somebody do it; it's a problem for almost everybody and it's not something well explained for getting the average newcomer to have ease in fixing.
  12. are you drunk? you are going to bully ME into not coming back? I'm giggling. how's that working for you? if somebody knows who that is, do they suddenly understand the point of your post? and the title? I think you are drunk. wasteballs even.
  13. yeah, that's it. it's pretty good, but you will notice some slight differences from what you are used to on your console and television screen. most games work pretty well on it, but I believe that SNES9x is the technically "better" emulator. is it not okay for onlag gaming?
  14. alright, so NOBODY has found ANY errors? I find that tough to believe. I must have a few jersey numbers wrong and some handednesses switched and at least one name misspelled... PLEASE REPORT ANY ERRORS!
  15. which SNES emulator do y'all use for interplay? the two main ones are both good, but SNES9x seems to have the actual emulation down a lot better for the games I have played. if I remember right, they both have great display filter options that round off many of the blocky pixels, but I've settled on SNES9x for its lack of quirkiness in running ROMs. am I right that y'all use the other one? can somebody break down the whys on that decision for us to read here, too?
  16. once in the recent past I did sub in some of the rest of the teams, giving a few options of who got bumped out and who played who, but it was a lot of work for little benefit and I like the concept of "your team didn't make it; no deals." I'm not sure if it was a version I released... I think I might have done it for a trade deadline update I removed the icons/arrows/etc. because: -I suspected that they were useless to experienced players -having them gone greatly improves my ability to feel immersed in a simulated hockey game -it looks much better and more real people really do not like it. they are all welcomed to "fix" it. this thing is always everybody's to hack further. now, for IR and LTIR players... I mostly did leave in guys with a chance of playing again in the season and those with minor injuries. the LTIR dudes will be back when they are back. this is -- or tries to be -- more of a reality game than a fantasy game. statistics lead to ratings and injuries lead to removal from the roster. I'd love to get some physics hacks going to further touch up the realness.
  17. word, thanks. it looks like you are wishing to avoid having to do it again in the future, but if you don't mind, I would like the year on there, as it helps people to see that it is current and not just another defunct page.
  18. or a link to a video or... anything more, really. this place needs more hacker to the point where I'm really excited about a nonhockey Genesis beginner, but I am excited and curious. before I sold my Genesis, I had two Bill Walsh games. I probably played them twice, collectively, for two minutes total, if at all. you like the engine, I take it. good luck with your project and post frequently!
  19. activate the multitap option for a rainbow of choices.
  20. La Discipline call with a friendly reminder that they've talked about this three times before and go right back to review Shawn Thornton's actions on his new team because the Bruin's tapes were boring this season.
  21. what is it currently? I imagine that extra teams added in have lots of little issues like that.
  22. lots of uniform adjustments have been made. they look damned good. still seeking somebody to check my work. holler.
