  1. @MikeGartner22takes Chicago I'll take the Habs. League Champ gets one of these! @aqualizard is up!
  2. Teams, It will be the ultimate handicapper. Ha! Not your pick! I will take them at #2 if Gartner passes
  3. League is closed. Thanks, I think we have a good group. Please pick teams so i can send to @chaos and we can get going. Summary of rom and the rom below. NHL'67.bin Draft Order #1 Mike Gartner (Chicago BlackHawks) #2 Coach (Montreal Canadiens) #3 Aqua (Detroit Red Wings) #4 Atomic (Toronto Maple Leafs) #5 Tex (New York Rangers) #6 Ice (Boston Bruins) We will use the 1967 rom this season. The last season of the Original 6 and playing a brutal 70 game schedule 14 games against each team. The BlackHawks dominated the 1967 Regular Season and are the best team in the rom. Chicago had 4 of the 6 First Team All-Stars. Stan Mikita, Bobby Hull, Kenny Wharram, and Pierre Pilote. Stan Mikita won the Hart Trophy and led the league with 97 points. Bobby Hull scored 52 goals for his third 50 goal season and only the fifth ever. Glenn Hall spent the first half of the season painting his BARN in Alberta, but came back for the second half and was selected as the Second Team All-Star Goalie. Harry Howell won the Norris Trophy and said he was glad he did, because he predicted a young rookie for the Bruins would dominate that trophy for years to come, That kid won the Calder for Rookie of the Year. You guessed it Bobby Orr. The Canadiens finished second and were coming off back to back Cup wins in '65 and '66. Jean Beliveau missed a large portion of the season The Leafs had a rocky regular season, but still managed to finish third. The Rangers made the playoffs for the first time since 1962, led by Ed Giacomin in net, Harry Howell, and Don Marshall who would have won the Selke if they had it back then. The Red Wings missed the Playoffs despite a potent offense led by Gordie Howe, Norm Ullman, and Alex Delvecchio, but got poor goaltending and weak defensive play. The Bruins finished last after a strong start to the season but the pieces of the future championships were coming together with Orr, Cheevers, McKenzie, and Bucyk. The Playoffs in Original 6 Times pitted the #1 team against the #3 and #2 vs #4 The Over the Hill Gang #3 Maple Leafs upset the #1 Blackhawks 4 games to 2 in the Semi-Finals and the #2 Canadiens swept the #4 Rangers. In the Finals the Leafs won in 6 games led by Dave Keon and Terry Sawchuk. Keon won the Conn Smythe Trophy. As far as the rom goes Chicago is easily the best team. Montreal, Toronto, New York, and Detroit are fairly even. Boston is a step below. All the players are modeled after a 94 player though I have made minor changes mostly to weight, handedness, and aggression. Advantages are set to how teams played in 1967. For team overall I added up the starting 6 and divided by 6. Team (Overall) PP/PK Home/Away Chicago (86) STR/AVG STR/STR Montreal (72) STR/STR AVG/AVG Toronto (72) Weak/Weak STR/Weak New York (72) AVG/STR Weak/AVG Detroit (68) AVG/AVG AVG/Brutal Boston (63) Weak/Weak Weak/Weak

These are very well done!!! Congrats! Strong Work!
  6. Give me Dino and I have an award for you for doing a great job running this league and giving me ideas!
  7. I was going to start a thread like this. I loved this league and almost all of the ideas. -Play as much as you like! -Double Elimination Playoffs! I would make 2 changes the season would be one month long max. I would also put tighter deadlines on the playoffs. Really no excuse to be waiting for people. But JJ, I salute you this should be the standard for all leagues moving forward.
  8. I doubt the 1990 one will ever get finished. BUT, here is the 1993 rom you asked for with the Stars and Penguins in correct uniforms and with the correct logos. (The only 2 things I didn't like about 1993 (the last great season and the end of the Patrick, Adams, Norris, Smythe, Wales, and Campbell) I am very proud of my Patrick Roy Splash Screen for this rom, but I like @Modano’s mafia so much I also made you a rom with a custom Slash Screen. 9. No idea?? I just got it. Here it is again, but I just took it right off the first page. NFL'58.nes
  10. I would like to suggest this place for a location for all of us and easy Exis/Warmups/and of course 2v2. Only a couple miles from the CBH Venue. Their is a LaQuinta like across the street and cheaper, but this place looks really cool and better. I am flying to Seattle driving in arriving Friday afternoon. Leaving Monday. Lets start making a plan. https://riverrock.com
  11. Need more of this, and LOVE this, but I thought you turned the sound off Jer??? Gonna break some of the rules here, but I've been known to spend some time in the box! This is the actual mix tape that I blasted all the way to Vegas (8 Hours through the Great Nevada Outback!) and inspired AngryJay to his King of 94 Victory! 12. I know!!! I have switched it and their uniforms numerous times. I have a version that is accurate. I also have the old Penguins logo instead of the roboPenguin that was born in 93. So, bottom line it is accurate except for the Minnesota and Pittsburgh uniforms. I may post the accurate version now as well. On another note I have an almost complete 1990 rom! Thanks for the kind words and the attention to detail, but again since this is the rom I play the most, I wanted the NORTHSTARS in GREEN!

    New ROMS

Banners, Splash Screens, Ron Barr Text and ratings, not having teams that were not in the league. All that matters Banners are fairly simple to change. Most everything you need is here.
  14. Great Playoff Series in Round 2 (Round 1 of Losers Bracket) against @Buc Game 1 Buc 4-3 (OT) (Buc leads 1-0) Game 2 Coach 7-6 (OT) (Tied 1-1) Game 3 Coach 4-1 (Coach leads 2-1) Game 4 Buc 4-3 (Tied 2-2) Game 5 Coach 3-0 (Coach leads 3-2) Game 6 Buc 8-5 (Tied 3-3) Game 7 Coach 5-4 (Coach wins 4-3) Total Goals 30-27
  15. It is on the first page of this thread. I just replaced the previous version. Delete your old one and then download the new one.
  16. I figured out the Large Helmets. New version available on Page 1 with Large Helmets included!
  17. OHHHH, I get it. Ya, both Detroit (Larry Yale) and the Chicago Cardinals (Dick Night Train Lane) are modeled after the Original TSB Jets!
  18. The Jets did not exist 1958. They were in the AFL which began play in 1960. They joined as the NY Titans (Titan > Giants) and then changed the name to Jets in 1963 when ownership changed and they moved from playing at the Polo Grounds to Shea Stadium near Laguardia Airport hence the Jets. The Cardinals were in Chicago in 1958. They moved to St. Louis in 1960 and then to Arizona in 1988. Detroit was and is the Lions.
  19. The juiced rom is way more difficult to play against the CPU. Every game will play at the highest difficulty as if you are 16-0. The regular rom plays exactly like the Original TSB, which means the more games you win the tougher the CPU gets.
  20. NHL 94 is undoubtedly the greatest game! However the one thing I find frustrating, sad, and lacking is Solitaire play. Both Tecmo Super Bowl and RBI Baseball have been made stronger and better for solitaire play by discovering "JUICE" AND, it is not just making a boring team of 120 rated clones as I have done for 94, but by truly juicing the rom and making solitaire play more enjoyable. The players controlled by the cpu are smarter and play better based on some fairly simple hacks. Can we do this???
  21. Well, I am a Football Coach! You can find NFL'58 on the first page of this thread. 60 years ago the NFL Season that would end with the "Greatest Game Ever Played" began. What you get: 2 versions (Original and Fully Juiced) The 12 NFL Teams from 1958. All modeled and properly matched to an Original TSB Team. Baltimore Colts = SF (Unitas = Montana, Lenny Moore = Jerry Rice) New York Giants = NYG (Sam Huff = LT (but moved to ILB) Cleveland Browns = RAI (Jim Brown = Bo Jackson) Los Angeles Rams = RAM Chicago Bears = CHI Pittsburgh Steelers = MIN Washington Redskins = NO San Francisco 49ers = NO Chicago Cardinals = JETS Detroit Lions = JETS Philadelphia Eagles = GB Green Bay Packers = GB (Lombardi arrives in 1959, but many of the pieces of the dynasty are already in place) The correct 12 game 1958 schedule with correct dates. (Including Saturdays and Thanksgiving) An Old Fashioned Grass Field free from any distractions, logos, or colors. No Overtime. No Large Helmets (I don't get them or know how to move them so I just blanked them out) 1991 Mini Helmets in proper locations. Accurate Rosters with numbers and skin color. Accurate Pro Bowl Rosters. Plus truly Original Game Play, as I have added "ZERO Gameplay Hacks" We love this game because they got it right, even with the minor imperfections. What you don't get: Accurate Divisions. In 1958 the NFL had 2 six team divisions East and West. I couldn't do that so I made 3 four team divisions. Below I list my Divisions followed by the actual 1958 the Team played in. EAST CENTRAL WEST Cleveland East Chicago Bears West Baltimore West New York East Detroit West Chicago Cardinals East Philly East Green Bay West Los Angeles West Washington East Pittsburgh East San Francisco West Accurate Playoffs in 1958 the NFL Post season consisted of one Championship Game of the East Champion vs the West Champion. I had to go with 4 teams. The 3 Division Champs and a Wild Card. If you win the "NFL Championship" The Final Game will be the "Tecmo Bowl" vs a 1991 TSB Team. What I don't like: I blanked out the Large Helmets, but they still show up in a deformed state for the visiting team on the pregame match up page. If someone can tell me how to blank that out, I would be grateful.
  22. If you have a Mac, then there is not a solution. No Mac emulators work with Playoffs. Get a Sega Genesis and an everdrive!
  23. My 19something Rom includes the 1980 Miracle on Ice and the 1972 Summit Series (for my Canadian friends!).
  24. READY for some Baseball!!! New 1964-1968 Baseball Roms are posted on the first page.
