  1. I would love nothing more than to release my 93 hack.

However, I too need to rely on others as I am not capable of everything nor do I know how or have the time to do everything.

In saying that, everyone has a life so I require patience on my end as I wait on others who thankfully will take some of their free time to help me and in turn help others. All I can say for now. Have patience - I have to.

    and Happy New Year

  2. Yes. I had that game for the PS1 as well. Quite frankly, the graphics were complete crap (even the Genesis graphics were better than the PS1 graphics for NHL '97).

As for his "what a shootout we have here" comment, I believe it was always determined either by a high score at intermission and/or a high volume of shots at intermission.

I also remember clips where he spoke at intermission about a player who had scored a hat trick, a very physical game with plenty of hits, and uneventful periods at intermission. There were also mini-clips before each game (usually the same clip). Once in a while, you'd get a mini-clip preview in which he speaks about an impact player such as Mario Lemieux, Dominik Hasek, Peter Forsberg, Wayne Gretzky, Felix Potvin, Ed Belfour, Patrick Roy, etc.

I find it odd that they were willing to do such cool presentation previews on the PS1, but you don't see that with the current-gen and next-gen consoles at all!

Yeah they take out all kinds of cool crap and put in gimmicks and other crap.

I do remember nhl 98 being a huge step up on the ps1. I still have 99 which is a fairly decent game. Anyone have 98 that could make an iso of it?

  3. It's coming. I've been swamped with work and family and hockey.

Trying to get on the local police force too so I've been doing testing etc.. [if I get on , you get good time off so I might actually get some hacking done]

How are the player cards coming? :o

  4. and he did the same thing in Junior [wouldn't report to S.S. Marie] and WE went on to appear in 3 straight Memorial Cups winning it my first year of Junior up there.

    Thank Eric for the ring.

Lesson for big kids: Learn to skate with your head up. Eventually everyone will be strong and big.

  5. I have been working on a 98 and I noticed a problem with the rom when playing a game. What's happening is, the player numbers are correct in NOSE but change when the game is played. I don't have duplicate numbers on the team or any other glaring reason why this is happening. I have attached a screen shot of the players in NOSE and the team roster screen while playing the rom. Anyone with suggestions or possible reasons for this problem would immediately become my new best friend. Thanks

Format 'reset' the rosters in the player transactions menu in-game or erase the 'nhl98 file' gens makes it's folder.
