  1. I'd let JayLighter get ahead of me on the waiting list, since he asked on another thread before I did.
  2. Yeah man. What's happening with the next GDL season?
  3. AJ, Thank you so much for doing these. Really great stuff. You raise the bar for competition in the NHL 94 community and we all thank you. THE FLYING FRENCHMEN!!!
  4. Is there a waiting list for '12 B?
  5. For whatever it's worth, I used to do playoffs against a friend on Genesis; we'd alternate playing as player 1 and player 2- so one of us could win the cup and the other one was just playing spoiler. One time he made it to the Stanley Cup finals and I beat him as the spoiler. From then on, whenever we played an exhibition the winner would hoist the Cup.
  6. Just as a suggestion, it would be cool if the Latest Scores box at nhl94online.com was updated to reflect playoff games. That got me thinking that if someone really wanted to do a master database, there should be a latest scores page with all the scores from major leagues and links to box scores, videos, standings, and/or other relevant info (like ranking, 3 stars, or whatever else you can think of). Perhaps there could be filters set up in case you only wanted to check a specific league or a specific player/team. I just started a Computer Science degree a couple months ago. We started learning databases last week and this week we're learning SQL. I'd be happy to do some work on this project. Is there a webpage with a list of all the major NHL '94 leagues and the people that run them?
  7. I think your answer is on page 1: "Edited by Mike Emrick" Doc Emrick is by far, the worst play-by-play commentator in pro sports. It boggles my mind why Fox, NBC, etc use him as their go-to guy.
  8. That was awesome. LOL @ "Save... Burke!... Woah... I think he got the knob of his stick on that save"
  9. FYI, I was supposed to play fiddy in the first round of the Classic C playoffs. He pretty much disappeared, and I got a forfeit win. I think it's safe to take his name off the list.
  10. No doubt, Roy is great. It didn't help when I took Manual goalie and moved out of the way in the 2nd period of that game; I was going crazy trying to poke-check as a defenseman and switched to goalie accidentally. Gotta say... McLean has been playing pretty well, too.
  11. Never mind, I think I figured it out! My problem was that I was closing the Netplay window. Although that didn't seem to affect my p2p movies, it did affect the Client movies.
  12. I've tried loading the ROM first, still get the same problem.
  13. I'm having a problem. I recorded 4 games yesterday, but can't play back any of the KREC files. They appear in the Netplay - Playback mode, but when I hit Play they just start the ROM and nothing happens. It just plays the music and cycles through the credits as if the ROM was opened by itself with no playback video. Any suggestions?
  14. NHL 94 Classic League Winter 2011, C Division Championship Series da94wookiee (Montreal) vs rammer87 (Vancouver) Game 1:
  15. I'm currently using the gens_11b.exe program to convert a recorded game from KREC to GMV. Noticed that in the top left corner it shows what buttons you were pressing. The buttons light up in 3 colors: blue, orange, and white. Could these 3 colors represent different pressure levels? It may be a time-based formula, since the genesis buttons only seem to have 2 modes - on and off.
  16. Great series. Congratulations, smozoma! Thanks for posting, KingRaph.
  17. LOL @ Smozoma. One NHL94 site to rule them all! Imagine... A single database with Classic, Blitz, GDL, 2012... there could even be some algorithm to figure out overall rankings like they use in Chess organizations. I'm kinda new here, but that sounds really cool.
  18. I just noticed that the Rangers have 4 forwards on their first power play line. That's awesome! I checked a few other teams and noticed that some teams have this feature and others don't (Vancouver does, Boston doesn't). Really great job, guys. Kudos all around. It's in the GA!
