  1. The ronsbar.org website got screwed up. I just added the first article in awhile. "A" Playoff Preview with picks from Ron Barr and Barry Melrose: http://bradbershad.com/ronsbar/?p=122
  2. A very wise man once said "Man makes plans, and Ron Barr laughs." I couldn't be online until about 6pm today. Sorry guys. At least I got 5 games in with Bo yesterday. I'll be online for most of tonight if anyone wants to play.
  3. Is there an official petition to find a new commissioner? Wayne Gretzky or Bobby Orr might be good choices.
  4. Hey Guys, Sorry I am so far behind in games played. I've been really busy with work and Hurricane Sandy basically took 2 weeks off my life. Here are Quebec's remaining opponents: Winnipeg - BoKnowsNHL94 Calgary - dcicon5148 Vancouver - Carse Toronto - RedWingDevil Los Angeles - Vocally Caged Chicago - xdeathsbloodx This Sunday I'll be around for a solid 8 hours between Noon and 8pm EST watching NFL and playing NHL '94 Online.
  5. Great. Dickon would spam us for weeks about how his team sucks and it's not his fault. C'mon man! Count me out. No time. Sorry guys.
  6. good games. nice write-up. every game was close and every loose puck was a battle.
  7. dude. you haven't been online all weekend. not even close. you sent me an IM today that you'd be ready in half an hour and then you disappeared. what happened?
  8. Let me set the record straight. I was 36-4 and the 3rd seed in the C Playoffs. Sicarius and Rammer were great that season, and the playoffs were pretty intense. Rammer was 37-3 and put up great offensive numbers. I got lucky and upset him in the finals. It was a good 'rookie class'. Hurricane Sandy really screwed me up last week. When is the next deadline for classic?
  9. Unfortunately, I live in an area that was pretty much devestated by Hurricane Sandy. Thankfully I haven't been too badly affected, but I tried playing online yesterday and it was incredibly laggy. Probably because so many areas around here lost power so internet connection points are down. This weekend probably won't work for me, but you never know. I'll try to be online Sunday night, sometime between 10pm and Midnight EST.
  10. The "No Hassle Rom for GENS" - great for new players and GDL scouting
  11. Thanks for getting me hooked on Big Win Hockey and Big Game Football. Helped me ride out Hurricane Sandy the last couple days.
  12. Report: NHL to cancel Winter Classic and All-Star Game http://www.thescore.com/home/articles/367551-report-nhl-to-cancel-winter-classic-and-all-star-game-monday
  13. Look at this seating chart... Islanders are only good for 1 thing: ugly
  14. I used to think you guys were pretty cool... and then I saw this list of the 50 coolest people on the interwebs http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/people-you-wish-you-knew-in-real-life
  15. Hitting after the whistle is part of the game. Personally, I like doing it because it helps me get a feel for how my players are moving with such variables as latency and hot / cold. Moving around doesn't necessarily mean you need to blast your opponent, although when they're right up against the boards it's pretty much irresistible. I also like taking big slapshots into somebody's nuts. After goals I like to skate over toward my teammates. It looks pretty cool when they push you up against the boards where you all celebrate with your fans. I'd like to point out that I followed the rules of etiquette in Blitz B this season with lots of checks before the whistle and not many afterward. Generally I don't go too crazy until the other player escalates things. For the playoffs I may need to follow the great smozoma's suggestion to "get it in gear!!"
  16. I've only played a few games on Kega... the gameplay felt slow compared to GENS which I think is closer speed to a real Sega Genesis.
  17. What is the deadline for the first round?
  18. JR in the ether. Too funny. "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for JR is with me; his slap-shot, stick-handling and body-check, they comfort me." Psalm 27:4
  19. Don't take the rivalry too seriously. It's all in fun. Good luck with your family stuff, apartment move, and all that. On the subject of "NHL 94' 20th Anniversary - What are we doing?" ... it's a great question. So far, nothing's planned. It's pretty difficult for a lot of us to travel long distances to get together and play in person. As was mentioned above, video games are a pretty low priority for a healthy adult and most of us aren't kids anymore. It's a beautifully designed game and extremely fun to play, but even a 40-minute block of time to play 4 online games can be difficult for buds to to squeeze into a schedule. If anyone wants to do something in the NYC area, I am game.
