Hey what's up? I saw your post and wanted to help out. Your documentary looks really cool. I've been in the community for many years here under a few different names lol. Best known for the "pass shot". You may have heard of it, I was considered the best at it by many here back when I was under the user name "cr0ssbar" in 2006. Basically I came up with it one day because I wanted to do a move similar to Mark Messier's patented wrong-foot wrist shot. People always used to ask me how I did it haha it's pretty much all about timing and positioning. Here's a video I put up several years ago showcasing some examples: I live in the NY area and work in the city. After Clockwise quit updating the roms I became quite interested in the graphical side of hacking NHL 94, so when Skip did an update, I released my own updated graphics version using his rosters. Anyway, here is something I came up with for you for your interview with Jordin Tootoo. Let me know if this is something like what you had in mind. Here is a screen shot picture:

I hope to God L.A. misses the playoffs after being gift-wrapped the cup last year in the finals. Rangers screwed in 2 games in L.A. by the refs. I hope L.A. sucks for many, many years. I remember that post, it was referring to NHLPA 93. Apparently, offense and defense were switched in that game. But the bug doesn't apply to NHL 94.

Ah I see. How do you change the amount of teams in Hex?

It keeps saying "There was an inconsistency in the number of selectable teams in playoff games. The number has to be set to 1. Please select the number of teams you desire on the "Selectable Teams" window and click "Apply". Then it crashes and says "EARE has stopped working". What's that about? Any solution? I am using the 30 team NHLPA 93 hack. Thanks!

Oh God, not that annoying Blackhawks song. Please, no. I can't understand why so many people like that song. I think it's a terrible goal song. The Rangers goal song is 1000x better. Put that in, if anything.

To remove the ratings from the Ron Barr screen, go to offset 00012ff0 and 00013000 in Hex Editor. Change "6100" to "6002" on both lines. Ratings will disappear.

Hey thanks Coach! Glad you like it. The 0's on the Tom Mees screen I got rid of through Hex Editor by changing a couple of numbers around. I'll look into it tomorrow to give you the exact whereabouts. It's a simple fix, not hard once you know where it is. The center ice logo is similar to slapshots, but I re-did it a little bit. I attached a picture of both. Slapshots is on the left. Mine is on the right. EDIT: Re-download the rom if you want. I fixed a little issue with Gretzky's mouth that I forgot about when I first posted the download link. Yes, I have OCD.

I was playing CoachMac's NHLPA 93 version of NHL 92, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to update the graphics on the game. I added a new timer logo, updated center ice NHL logo, new opening screen, new nets, Tom Mees replacing Ron Barr (R.I.P. Tom), updated banners and team uniforms, updated custom crease, new sponsor logo (DIET COKE replaces PRO SET), and I replaced the blue lines to make them NHL 92 style. The 92 blue lines allowed me an extra color on the palette, so I used that to make the goal posts a nice shiny red. I was also able to keep the surrounding colors of the net by doing this, so it came out really nice I think. Included in this post is the game rom, and a screenshot montage of the game. I can help, but I'd advice downloading GIMP first. GIMP is a very valuable and easy to use editing program which helps me a lot in hacking game graphics. OK, lets begin!... Step 1. Before changing the jersey colors, open up tile molester and go to the center ice logos (assuming you know how to do this? If not, let me know). Once there, you'll see an icon that looks like a magnifying glass in TILE MOLESTER. Make the image as small as possible. Then click "print screen" on your computer keyboard (make sure ("tile grid" is off. You don't want lines running through the image). Step 2. Open up GIMP. On the top of the page in GIMP, click on "Edit" and then click "Paste as new image". A huge screen shot will appear. Hit the magnifying glass icon in GIMP and zoom in to the center ice logo. Once the logo is zoomed in on, click the button ABOVE the magnifying glass in GIMP that looks like a rectangle. Use it to crop the image. Crop the image so that ONLY the logo remains. After cropping, click the top of the screen in GIMP where it says "file" and then click "save" or "save as". You now have a saved image of a center ice logo. Final Step. Once this is done, change the colors of the jerseys in NOSE. After changing the colors in NOSE, open up TILE MOLESTER again, and go to ice logos. You'll see the ice logo is messed up because you changed the jersey colors, right? Now is when you import the picture you saved before, and place it on top of the messed up image...Done! You now have new jersey colors, with the same ice logo as before. Repeat this for all teams. TIP: Try to keep the colors of the dark jerseys about the same as the colors of the white jerseys on the TILE MOLESTER palette. In other words, the same colors, just rearranged differently. This way, TILE MOLESTER won't have any issues once you import the saved picture and it should look the same as before, or close to it. Let me know how it works out, or any issues you may have.

Hey Kingraph what's up. When I said "downloads" I meant the "downloads forum". I actually figured it out now, there's a little "NHL 94" button on the very bottom of this page and from there I can access the downloads forum lol. Anyway it's just kinda weird to me how some of the forums which aren't used much (like Macks Hacks) are on the front page, while the "downloads forum" which is used a lot more isn't haha. But anyway I'm just whining.

I tried to get back to my thread where I posted my rom (downloads section) and could not find it. It's in the "downloads" section. I had to go to google and search for my own thread, lol. Is there any way to make finding some of the other forums here easier to find? Maybe post the "downloads" forum on the main page?

Hey guys thanks a lot. Skip deserves most of the credit, he did the hardest part which is the rosters (THANKS SKIP!). The rosters are from Skip's latest release. I just realized though that I didn't get to do the overall team ratings. Next release will include this, and any other issues will be corrected in the next release as well. Or, if Skip wants to just do his roster updates using this rom, that'd be cool. I could just do the overall ratings in Hex Editor. I'd like to add player cards at some point, when I get a little more time. But for now I'm cool with the generic pictures. Makes updating the rosters easier anyway if you wanna do it yourself. If anyone sees any issues with the rom, feel free to let me know.
