  1. I watched it. THANK YOU MIKEY !! You did a fantastic job! (Although, I was a little pissed at the way that Jagr treated you. He never gave you a chance to even explain yourself.) I especially liked the part with Mark Lesser. Did you ever get to ask him if he still had the Sega Genesis game development software? I also binge watched all of Ice Pilots, a while ago. Really enjoyed it.
  2. Could someone make a rom that replaces the audience, like the NHL has now? There are NHL logos in the corner boards, and bluish grey drapes over the seats in most other areas. Of course, also include the center ice Staney cup logo, that they use. I just think it would be great to have such as rom, as a momento to this wierd time. Too bad, no one has the source code, to do the actual round robin matchups, etc.
  3. Got this on sale at Sam's Club for $19.99 https://www.samsclub.com/sams/wired-camo-controller-xbox-one/prod21226872.ip?sprodId=prod21226872&selectedTab=allProducts&_requestid=1095013 It got mostly good reviews on youtube and amazon.
  4. Wish there was an easy way to port over some of the excellent cartridge roms we have here, to CD. And get rid of, or bypass, all of the extraneous CD crap, and get right to the game.
  5. Looks like you all had an awesome time. But I didn't read anything about Mikey's documentary, that was supposed to have been shown there. Any comments?
  6. I already own a firestick, so adding a $4 cable is no big deal. That rasp pi 3 looks very impressive, though.
  7. That's very interesting. Assuming if NHL 94 can ever be ported over to Saturn, would one of the Saturn Emulators for PC still have the 12 player gameplay? Also, are there simple conversions of Sega-CD to Saturn?
  8. I just found this video. If I got this cable, and plugged in a USB wired controller, and installed an emulator, would it work? Anyone tried it?
  9. I remember playing 8 player Sega Virua Formula Racing, at an arcade years ago, for a birthday party. Everyone was sitting in his own car. What a blast that was! Would something like this be possible with NHL94? Ten or Twelve player would be perfect. Could you imagine everybody controlling only their player? Or at the very least, maybe 3 on 3 or 4 on 4?
  10. Thanks. Just to make sure, is "!!! Hex 0" the invalid value?
  11. Great job! Fun rom. I like the way you got rid of the audience and replaced them with bushes. lol The only thing I don't like (and it's just my opinion) is the look of the rink surface (which I know is supposed to be outdoors). Can you possibly get rid of all the reflections, and make it look like a smooth green soccer surface (and just leave the center ice and blue lines)? If that's too much work, then skip it, since it's still a great rom.
  12. You guys did a MAGNIFICENT JOB on this rom ! Is there any possibility for a 2 on 2 version?
  13. This is all hypothetical, but I was wondering if it was possible to use NHL94 with an alternate controller, such as the Kinect for Xbox One? http://www.ebay.com/itm/OFFICIAL-Microsoft-Kinect-2-0-Camera-Motion-Sensor-for-XBOX-ONE/121962146725?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38530%26meid%3D6f49386701f84d0e8cc85c87b29c44a8%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D121962146725 http://www.gamespot.com/articles/microsofts-new-50-adapter-makes-xbox-ones-kinect-w/1100-6423115/ What I would like to know, is if it is possible to access each action command directly so they can be mapped to the alternate controller. To clarify, instead of the Sega controller where A, B, C do different things depending on when and how you touch/hold each button, the alternate controller would have direct access to each action, such as "change player", "poke check", "pass", "control goalie", etc. Even a "1 on 1" game, could be fun, as long as there is decent response, and no lag.
  14. Has anyone had any experience with this pad? It got mostly decent reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-Inc-Genesis-GN6-USB-Controller/dp/B00KX75UT6/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1451458231&sr=8-7&keywords=saturn+usb+controller
  15. CoachMac, I was wondering, did you get the newest model which is white in color and has a 3.2" screen, (instead of the older 2.8")? You can see 3.2" display on the box. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-Ultimate-Portable-Game-Player-Handheld-Console-80-in1-2015-Model/111801882706?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150604093004%26meid%3D302c0c9fc99046a6aba1137ecc1871f6%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D171977509373&rt=nc http://www.amazon.com/Sega-Genesis-AtGames-Arcade-Ultimate-Portable/dp/B0111WVW5C/ref=pd_cp_63_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1K31ZKXBGDWEEGTCSV1P Also, did the AV cable come with it to connect to your TV? BTW, it appears the new 2015 console version has two wireless 6 button controllers. http://www.amazon.com/Genesis-Classic-Game-Console-Exclusive-Electronic/dp/B017KM6K9U/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1451442368&sr=1-2&keywords=Sega+Classic+Game+Console+2015
  16. Oops. Sorry, my bad. I also just read about this in your other thread. Wish I could help you. I'm sure it'll all get worked out by all you hack wizards.
  17. Skip, Eventually, can you please reset every team's original music to their respective teams? As awesome as your rom is, I am getting very tired of the baseball music every time I play as the Blackhawks. Thanks again for your brilliant work.
  18. I KNOW you can beat this. A good friend of mine was in a similar situation, and has been sober for over 10 years now, after having had this sickness, since he was in high school. Hang tough, just like the goalies in NHL94, and you will be back before you know it.
  19. Wow. Thanks! You're right, the "environmental" version is the large stand up version, that I must have played on. They might have had some promotional decor around the game (because I remember they had just gotten the game), that made me think it was larger. It now looks a bit boring to watch, but the sensory experience during gameplay was fantastic. What a great arcade parlor in the video.
  20. YES! But I remember the cabinet being larger where you stood on a disc, and don't remember there being a seat. Regardless, the game is the same.
  21. A while back, I had tried to get some help with hacking the Sega CD 94 version, with the intention of putting in custom music, since no one has figured out how to do that yet with the Gen Rom version. It fell on deaf ears, so I never persued it further.
  22. It was only at the arcade, and for a limited time. It was the sequel to the original Tron, and called "Discs of Tron". It was a huge cabinet(referred to as the environmental version) you stood in, to simulate as if you were playing, just like in the movie. Man, was that game amazing. Discs wizzed by you, in surround sound. I read that the cabinet weighed over 700 pounds. It's one of those items that you put on your "buy if I ever win the big lottery" list.
  23. BRILLIANT, AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE! I don't know how you did it, but it seems (or is it my imagination?) that players are in better positons, so can get to the puck faster, especially on D. Also forechecking seems easier, and therefore, more fun (for me, at least). I can't think of anything I would change, except for the music assignments. Can you change the pointers so better songs are played? For example, "go team go" instead of some of those lame baseball park tunes? If you can't, I can live with it. I have to get to bed, but I can't stop playing this awesome game. lol
