  1. You can't give the goalie the puck in the offensive zone - the game does have the rule in it where goalies cannot handle the puck past the red line (instituted in 1966 or 67 after Gary Smith of Toronto attempted to score a goal and was decked by J.C. Tremblay of the Canadiens) and the game will automatically halt play when the goalie gets the puck. Also, when you change value D51C at offset 00018D9E, which makes the goalie go up with the rush, the goalie won't enter the goal crease. Maybe if we alter this enough we could get a modified ROM for seven-man hockey.
  2. My uncle has one, and that was most of my gaming from when I was four till when I was about eight, was playing 94 and 96 on his Genesis.
  3. Much easier, plus I have the stuff to record already.
  4. Hey, you have reason to play better. So am I commentating or are you guys just playing it? If I'm commentating I need to get my recording set up and we need to see if this works.
  5. Yeah, just checked after a Ctrl+F5. You're going 7 against Vancouver. I'm sure of it. Could I commentate your series if possible?
  6. Where are the playoff pages?
  7. Yeah, I want to get a Genesis controller to play with. I know where I can get used ones, but I dunno how I'll get it hooked up to my computer. I don't know where to get an adapter or anything of the sort. Someone here was selling a controller rewired for USB hookup but I don't think I could do that...so, help?
  8. My birthday is 3/23/91, so I was almost two when NHL 94 for Genesis came out.
  9. You can add the bytes in the ROM menu at the top, however, applying both hacks will double the size of the ROM.
  10. You inspired me to make a prediction topic for the GENS playoffs. Angryjay, while you're gone from the first round in 7 because I like the Canucks, I'd LOVE to commentate your series, as it's going to be the best of the first round.
  11. Since it's only an hour until the deadline, it's not likely that much change will happen in the playoff picture. So here we go: Round One predictions. Wales Conference A 1. Washington (28-10-2-0) vs. 8. Pittsburgh (15-25-0-0) Prediction: Washington in 5 2. Hartford (27-6-0-7) vs. 7. Florida (17-22-1-0) Prediction: Hartford in 4 3. Philadelphia (24-16-0-0) vs. 6. Quebec (18-20-1-1) Prediction: Philadelphia in 6 4. Montreal (22-17-1-0) vs. 5. Boston (19-18-3-0) Prediction: Montreal in 6 Campbell Conference A 1. Chicago (32-8-0-0) vs. 8. Dallas (12-25-0-3) Prediction: Chicago in 4 2. Winnipeg (30-9-0-1) vs. 7. Calgary (15-25-0-0) Prediction: Winnipeg in 7 3. Detroit (28-12-0-0) vs. 6. Los Angeles (16-24-0-0) Prediction: Detroit in 6 4. Toronto (20-20-0-0) vs. 5. Vancouver (20-20-0-0) Prediction: Vancouver in 7 (This was tough to call. VERY tough) Wales Conference B 1. N.Y. Rangers (23-16-1-0) vs. 8. N.Y. Islanders (14-23-3-0) Prediction: Rangers in 6 2. Boston (20-16-4-0) vs. 7. Montreal (15-18-1-6) Prediction: Boston in 4 3. Pittsburgh (23-13-0-4) vs. 6. Quebec (15-23-2-0) Prediction: Pittsburgh in 5 4. Buffalo (17-20-3-0) vs. 5. Washington (15-15-2-8) Prediction: Buffalo in 4 Campbell Conference B 1. Chicago (37-3-0-0) vs. 8. Los Angeles (12-26-2-0) Prediction: Chicago in 4 2. Vancouver (30-10-0-0) vs. 7. Detroit (14-24-1-0) Prediction: Vancouver in 5 3. St. Louis (32-8-0-0) vs. 6. Edmonton (19-21-0-0) Prediction: St. Louis in 5 4. Toronto (27-13-0-0) vs. 5. Winnipeg (24-16-0-0) Prediction: Winnipeg in 7 Yeah, not many upsets there. However, the ones I see going 6 or 7 could be upsets. I also say Boston and Buffalo in four because of the DNPs their opponents got, so a series forfeit is the equivalent of forfeiting the first four games and thus being swept. We'll just hav eto wait for the playoffs to start to find out what happens.
  12. Big Bad Bruins beat out Chicago. Chicago's good at not allowing goals, but the Bruins are better hitters and have better endurance.
  13. ^Yes to your first question, no to your second.
  14. Why is your AIM convo with kgman in Microsoft Word?
  15. I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a remake of the All-Time hack, so the players would have more accurate ratings as would the teams. I could do the players in NOSE, but I don't know how to change team ratings.
  16. ^No one was clinching there. There wasn't much to say.
  17. Killed Chicago? I read a topic made by BSDaemon and you won by one goal, in overtime. That's not "killing," for all I know you got a lucky tip.
  18. Setar

    SNES B NYR

And he'd have gotten a DNP for it because he didn't log it.
  19. LA aren't out yet. The magic number to clinch is 28, and LA can make it with three wins. Long shot but possible.
  20. Loved how this one was scored. I've been really hurting the Hartford AI with one-timers this game, zipping it to Roenick or Larmer in front, but this was just amazing. It was 8 seconds into a power play as well.
  21. I asked Schwartz about replacing an SNES B team but got no reply...if you don't like this guy, I hope I get in. I'm not good, but hey, I man up when I lose.
