LOL. Nightmare on NHL '94!!!!!! Ron Barr with the Power Glove!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I considered Messier with a donut, but he's been so good for me in Blitz that I gotta respect the moose.
If your pain and suffering could make 1 person smile, it's been worth it. Especially true because right now I'm 3-7 and went 2-1 against you!
Just stick it out bud. I went 36-4 in C and won the playoff... then I snuck into the semi-final in A with Chicago last season. The A League is no joke! As I mentioned, I'm 3-7 right now. Just have fun, learn from it, and you'll be an awesome bud!

Yeh A league definetely is harder, thats for sure. I "might" be .500 at best with a team suited for me. It probably would only have bought me maybe another couple of wins. There are guys better than me in this league and more experienced. I guess I just need some time to adjust to the players and get used to everything. I have definetely been humbled! I will say that! But perhaps this will build character lol. I'm just pissed at myself though for being so stupid. NY is definetely not the right team for me but maybe I can get used to them (hahaha yeh right). -

Yeah, NYR tough team for sure...however, swos went 21-19 with them in Fall'11 (http://www.nhl94onli...10&sublg=GENS-A) in a very loaded A league! So maybe there's hope yet!
I also like Amonte as a substitute for Messier. Check out AJ's write up if you haven't already for some other ideas.

Maybe I'll swap tikk for amonte, thanks for the idea. Maybe the Rangers suited SWOS style better. Honestly SWOS is probably a better player than I am, too lol. The thing with me is I rely on sturdy guys who dont go own easy. My passing game sucks. I play a more puck possession game. These guys make playing like that almost impossible. They go down like nothing. Oh well theres always next year.

while I don't know anything about the weight bug (thankfully), I do know that Rangers team. even though there is no weight failure on the SENS, I often use Turcotte as a center because he has all of the pieces. Gartner seems like an obvious choice, too. this is a no-line-changes league, right? I'd try:
GAR/TUR/MES(TIK)
LEE/ZUB(PAT)
I'm not sure about choosing from the goalies, as the SNES version doesn't have players appearing on multiple rosters at the same time (?!), so we only have Richter. he's mediocre, at best.

I'm gonna try to put turcotte at center. gartner at center has done little for me, i think i need him back on the wing. then I'll put tikkanen on the other wing. messier gets scratched, he sucks balls big time.

It gets pretty rough out there sometimes, but you need to dig deep and remember why you committed to the season.

Hahaha. Quality post. Yeah, I felt for you when I saw you had NY. Goalie's are both the wrong side of average. Zubov for Patrick on D is a genuine choice to be made & no way you can put Messier & Tikkanen on the ice at the same time............but, with Leetch on D, Gartner at C & Turcotte bringing his weight buggy arse in they can give you a fighting chance.................unless you're up against the A league cream! lol
Sorry man. Ride it out & pick better in the spring! You definitely have A league ability
lol ok I just had to vent, thanks sorry man. I used to wonder why nobody ever picked the Rangers for league play, but now I know why! Thanks for the tip about Tikk and Messier. Messier is so utterly worthless in this game its beyond words. I dont think I have one goal with him so far and he does nothing but eat donuts and fall down all the time.
Oh well, there's always next season.

After losing 2 more games to BoKnowsNHL94 I do not know how much more of this I can endure. Picking the NY Rangers for classic was the worst mistake I ever made. After winning the GENS B championship last Spring this year has been nothing short of a nightmare for me. This team is beyond horrible. They are a complete and total embarrassment. NOT ONE PLAYER ON THIS TEAM CAN SKATE MORE THAN 1 SECOND WITHOUT THE WIND BLOWING THEM OVER. They do NOTHING but get in each others way. They do not compliment each other AT ALL. They are all a bunch of FATSOS and with the weight bug, that is a recipe for DISASTER. THEY CANT COMPLETE ONE PASS. Every pass attempt they make bounces off the other guys ass.
I dont know what to do. I guess I'll finish off the season, I dont know. Gens A has tougher players for sure, but this team makes it IMPOSSIBLE to win.
PLEASE KILL ME.

Yeah, it wouldn't be for a while. There has been talk of getting a '93 league together probably since the inception of the site. I just wanted to gauge how many people would actually want something like this to happen, especially with the capability of stats and all.
The last thing I would want is to take away from the other leagues that are currently running, and having guys dropping teams all over the place.
I'm in the 94 league, but my true love is 93 and quite honestly that's all I play with friends (on the actual console) and when I just feel like playing by myself. I play it so much that I feel I've mastered it much better than I have 94 (I have always been terrible at goalie control for example, never could get used to holding down the b button and prefer to play without having to do that).
93 is very different from 94. Different bounces, etc. I'd love to join your 93 league whenever it starts. I have never considered joining another league besides gens classic 94, but a 93 league I would definetely join.

Yeh that would be great. I wonder too if someone could just record the game, and flip through all the ratings. I could then pause the video for each team and copy it that way too. I doubt it'll happen though. I hope clockwise comes out with his annual rom this year. I'm not sure what he's gonna do considering the lockout and everything.

I guess noone knows where to get NHL 13 ratings online. Sucks. I wish EA's site had them posted. I dont know how I'm gonna do the rom without the ratings.

What would the real interest be?
GDL '93... Same as GDL with '94, just using '93 players and ROM.
From what I can tell ROMs would be easier to make because all you can really edit is teams, lines, center ice logo (only one), banners, and uniforms.
I would love a 93 league. I love NHLPA 93, the way the puck bounces makes it such a fun game.

93 on Genesis was the same game as 94 except without goalie control or the A flip. So basically it was a worse version of 94. Genesis 95 was terrible, and 96+ was a totally different game, which almost everybody agrees isn't as good as 94 (although I do play 96 occasionally with Voc)
SNES was just awful every year except 94.
Protip: There is really no reason to play any year other than 94 in SNES or Genesis
I dont really agree with that because I love the way NHLPA 93 plays compared to NHL 94. 93 has fighting, which affects the overall strategy of the game because a goon can knock out your star player for the game. I love that aspect, and its missing in 94. 93 also plays much differently than 94. crazier bounces and more fun gameplay in my opinion.

I dont own a ps3 or xbox, so I have no access to the ratings. Can someone post the full ratings for all the players in NHL 13? Or maybe point me to a site that has these ratings? The sooner I get these ratings, the sooner I can release the updated NHLPA 13 and NHL 13 roms. THANKS!!

Thanks but I dont actually own the game lol. I was hoping someone may have posted the rating online somewhere. Theres an NHL 12 "database" on one site but so far nothing for NHL 13.

I played a game on KEGA online against someone a few years ago and it was like playing in the same room. Thats how smooth the gameplay was. I really dont understand why KEGA isnt the emulator of choice. Gens is outdated and obsolete. I believe when playing KEGA all you had to do was type in the other guys IP and boom you were good to go.

I see the "overall" ratings but I'm looking for the complete ratings like speed, agility, etc. Can anyone help?? The game came out 3 days ago so I thought I'd find it by now but I can't. Its for my rom hacks, thanks!!

I can put in the new NHL Network logo for you, as that logo comes out really nice in tile molester. The bench I could probably do but it'll take a bit of time. I've been in contact with slapshot67 and he informed me he suspended work on the eye/stick tape patch because of the summer, but I'm sure he'll be back on that and it'll get done at some point. I can put in a new splash screen (first screen when you start game) but I dont think its possible yet at this point to alter the title screen with the animations and all that other stuff.

I went to type a message tonight and no spaces were appearing between the letters even after hitting the space bar. Why did they change the format? It was fine the way it was, now its much harder to navigate and it just plains SUCKS.

i'm using TILE MOLESTER, and the NHLPA 10 rom has a different centre ice logo, but that shouldn't make a difference
i'm not one to use hex editor for graphical stuff ..... it scares me
i don't suspect it's location is different in either program

EDIT: NEVERMIND! You were right. What happened was I had 2 files with the same name, but in different folders. And I kept opening the file in the WRONG FOLDER and then wondering why nothing was changing, LOL. Thanks for all your help! I knew it was something stupid like this.

i apologize but i can no longer continue in gens classic a. i am retiring from league play for good, and will be away from the site for a while. i'm having personal issues in my life at this time unrelated to anything here. best of luck to all.
