  1. Ah, yes, short memory I do have, sorry about that.
  2. Cool, this is good news! Will this editor be able to edit the Sega CD version as well?
  3. Ya, NHL 94 is on NHL 06 ONLY for the PS2 not the Xbox. If you go to the PS2 review of NHL 06 I don't really care for what he says about NHL 94, what a moron.
  4. There is a basic guide here http://members.shaw.ca/nhl94/howto.htm, you can download the ISO file off Evan's page here:http://www.nhl94.com/html/multimedia/downloads.asp Have fun and I hope it works for you.
  5. What versions of the A-I-W do you guys have?
  6. Use Fraps, one of the versions I think lets you record sound as well. Also, I think if your have a ATI All-In-Wonder it comes with software that lets you record macros.
  7. Whoa, good work, all I can say is that the NHL 94 gods are grateful. And of course, all of us here as well.
  8. I have a bunch of screen shots here http://members.shaw.ca/nhl94/screenshots/ Use whatever ones you like, some of them are not from me but most of them I took.
  9. Good work! If you ever want payment for your work, just hit Evan up for some money. Just kidding.
  10. If you want to play the game on your Sega CD system: Yeah, good info guys, also, I find that if i just want to make a game and not mess with the audio tracks, i just burn the ISO image with Nero. Also, burn the game at 1x or 2x, I know it takes a million years to burn but there is a higher chance that the game will play on the Sega CD system.
  11. That might be tricky as in NHL 94 as everyone here knows, the A button does a lot more then flip the puck. Only having 3 buttons and all the controls assigned to them might be a bit tricky to edit on the Genny. I could see a SNES version having this option if one knew what to edit but most of the people here only play the Genesis and the Sega CD versions of the game.
  12. I think the Tototek MD flash card will only work with BIN files but that's ok as most of the Genny ROM files you find on the net are BIN files. Now you can have lots of versions of 94 on one cart plus other great Genesis games.
  13. I don't think anyone has found out how to edit that part of the game, at best Swos&Mav might have an idea but it's still a random factor.
  14. An online league would be cool, I think the best way to do it would be some kinda browser supported NHL 94 game. People could log on and see when and if they had to play a game. I'd keep the number of games small or set up some kind of playoff thing.
  15. Most of us, like me, do my own editing on the side when I have the time, I know how much work it is when one gets busy having a normal life, and little time to do other things. The effort you have made on the editor already is a great accomplishment, I for one am glad to see people faithfully editing this great game.
  16. I do like the SNES controls here you hit the X button to grab the manual goalie and the graphics are nice and defence control. But they had to cut the framerate down a lot just so the game would be playable on the SNES. All the versions of NHL 94 are worthy games but the Sega CD version just happens to be the best one of the three games.
  17. I only play the Sega CD version because it's not choppy like the Genesis or the SNES version. When you have played all the versions enough, you tend to pick up on things like that. Easily, the best version of the game is the Sega CD because it plays smoother, no framerate cuts.
  18. Yeah, these things take time, there is a lot to go through and its very tedious. Do we still have those screenshots of Wboy's editor?
  19. Already done that, 2 years ago, check my nhl 94 site: http://members.shaw.ca/nhl94/howto.htm
  20. When this whole NHL 94 thing started, I knew a guy called deadmeow who had an online league which most of us here played on for a very short time. It eventually got disbanded as it's hard to start one of those things up. I think that deadmeow still runs a few online leagues, his site is in the links section off the main page.
  21. That's a very good proposal. You are right on all the points. Also, online play is nice but for those of us who only have a GC and PC, id like to see the game on the GC as well, but whatever, something needs to be done about those new crappy hockey games.
  22. If you go to the download section on www.nhl94.com or here: http://www.nhl94.com/html/multimedia/downloads.asp the hex workshop program has the serial in a text file.
  23. Those Sega pads are cool but not available to people who don't have credit cards. The PS2 pads are pretty much the same and I can pick them up at any video game store.
  24. Im sure most of you guys have seen this but that would work really cool in other game systems due to the fact that you can get controller adapters and stuff. Either way, That's the best controller design ever, heh. http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...roducts_id=4748 Here is an adapter that lets you use PS2 controllers in a Gamecube http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...oducts_id=3208&
  25. I would just simply say that the gameplay in 94 is pretty much perfect except that the AI needs to be improved just a tad. The goalies need to be better as well. Most of the games AI problems are solved when you play head to head with another human but it would be nice to have better AI for when your friends don't want to play anymore at 3am in the morning... So, big things for me are new games are all 3D and real time and whatever but the camera angle in 94 is the best around, you can always tell where your players are and even if that means making the ice surface just a bit smaller, who cares? I would pay $60 bucks for a game for PC or some console that played exactly like 94 but I was able to have all the menu options of any new hockey game. The fact of the matter is, I don't play any other hockey game other then NHL 94 and NHL HITZ PRO so EA really needs to take a good look and stop packing in stupid things like blood and players heads falling off because after awhile, that stuff gets annoying.
