It's not my idea.. It's a common type of a DRAFT and it's how anybody with common knowledge runs a league with bidding. The order just determines the order of picking, it is usually random because the pick order is not a huge factor. It would not be hard to implement, it's like a draft schedule for SDL. This however, would take much longer as these are obviously done best when all coaches are online. Your best bet is to lower the amount of time it takes to win a bid but then there are people in Australia so who knows. If you can't do a live draft then you won't have a good bidding system, end of story. Best bet is doing a snake fantasy draft with set salaries.

There is supposed to be a NOMINATION ORDER when you have leagues that involve bidding. Everyone needs to look at the same player in these kind of leagues or else it won't work out. You are supposed to nominate a player that goes up for bidding so all players can be on the same page. Best you just start rebidding. Much easier.

The state of '94 now is pretty ugly. The leagues are not organized, we have shady rule changes in the middle of leagues, biased drafts, deadline system that is clearly not working... Most of all there is no yearly schedule. With Blitz 08 shouldn't we just set up a yearly schedule and put it on the header of nhl94.com? It is amazing how we are still using this fake deadline system that doesn't replace anybody as our incentive for GP. When noobs find out about this website they will be eager to stay for the other leagues. With some real deadlines we won't need anymore extensions to the seasons because everyone knew they wouldn't be penalized for slacking. More Games played, more replacements, quicker seasons.. Sounds better than extensions, nobody being replaced and seasons that fail to start.

Why is my name in your example? My idea of a dynasty league never had anything to do with "vets" and "top-drawer" quality, go find the right person and edit your post.

Yeah it's hard to keep up with and it's pretty ridiculous when the final results kick in.. Teams will be heavily imbalanced and you will feel discouraged sooner or later. If you really want to keep the bidding, do an AUCTION draft The same idea.. but it's not hard to keep up with at all and it will prevent coaches like BlackDevil from ending up with the worst teams in history.

The idea of bidding isn't a good one because.. it causes stupid problems like this and when you look at the final teams you will certainly agree with me. Although it's fun, a draft with set salaries is clearly your best bet for a dynasty league.

Blitz WILL happen.. worst thing is we need a new website. Question is, do we wait until I finish the new website or do we launch GDL XI after classic so by the time GDL finishes Blitz is ready?

Have the main leagues on a structured schedule and GP % will rise for sure. 2 coaches in GENS A have got in 18 games in less than a week after having around 6 because of GDL.. It definitely is the answer to the problem. Get all the leagues structured and organized, how many newcomers have heard of GDL or Blitz?? Took me 9 months to discover GDL and around 4 to discover Blitz. Get them more involved because it's hard for noobs to be interested when all they know is boring GENS/SNES C.

Have faith in GENS dynasty.. 1day.

How can it dilute participation when there is a strict schedule? This means people wont be around playing more than 2 leagues at once. The recreational leagues are for active players and newcomers who want to play in a small league for fun on the side.

WHA type of forum and website is the best bet. Will keep everything more organized.

We need a recreational league section with a lot of active players so we can display how dynamic we can be with NHL '94. A lot of the newcomers never find out about leagues other than Classic because they aren't ever exposed to it. A fun league they can jump into right away would be great. Leagues would be grouped into categories (Competitve, Recreational) Competitive - (Classic), Blitz,GDL,Dynasty,SDL - They are strict on the deadlines, using SWOS' GDL system idea. They run at different times in a certain order (GENS has Classic, Blitz, GDL, Dynasty will have something different to keep the flow) (SNES has Classic, SDL, Puck Dynasty(?)) (Classic stay Fall and Spring) Recreational - Fun leagues or tournament that everyone can play and don't have a real structure to their schedule. These leagues have fun ideas (Survivor, Random Rosters, 2on2, 3on3, Juiced) and they are leagues everyone can play on the side.. A sea-hag type of thing for 2on2 will grasp the attention of newcomers IMO, and then we can host small (1month) 2on2 tournaments every now and then and if enough interest, 2on2 leagues. We would need the schedules to be strict, so if we need replacements for "competitive" leagues we can take some of the guys who had only got a chance for "recreational" leagues and have been dying to try the big leagues. This would not be hard to do if it is hosted all on one website. It would be cool to see your all time stats throughout the leagues you have played in, separating 5on5 from 2on2 of course.

Everything is fine as it is, Raph just wont give me access to the SETTINGS but he gave me access to upload and edit the files, which is 100% useless because I obviously won't be able to get Blitz working without full access. I do not know why he wants to transfer the domain, This idea of emailing each other is so inefficient and it will never work. It is completely random and I do not even have a reason as to why he wants to do it. The expert has to tell the amateur what to do and the expert can't see what the amateur is doing, great plan!

I don't understand.. I did the rom work, I wrote code to make a manageable draft, I set up the database, all by myself.. Didn't get a single thank you. For the past weeks I have been doing you favor after favor. You don't need me to do anything for you, I'm doing ALL the work, how am I incompetent? I was willing to take all the work load and learn a new programming language so we could get Blitz going.. what horrible attitude is there to speak of? The plan was that I would manage the website, but all of a sudden you have denied me access to do so, all was going well according to plan until you changed your mind.

Instead of me being able to access what I need to fix the Blitz files.. Raph thinks it's better that I EMAIL him what to do so he can EMAIL me the results and we will have to repeat this extremely slow process until we get it working. I know very well that this obviously will not work out fluidly, so I am not even going to bother since I have 1000000 ideas as to what the problem could be.

I quit because I had an unexpected change in schedule which denied me the time to play both GENS and SNES. Am I not allowed to quit? I tried to play my series but my opponent never showed up for a whole week.

I have no problem admitting defeat. Who I lose to is not an issue, I lose a lot of my regular season games against "weaker" players.The thing is that you are bragging that you "spanked" me. If I wanted to win and there was no lag, I easily would have won. I clearly was not putting in a lot of effort in our games.
