  2. Hey everybody.... just stumbled across this amazing site a week ago and wanted to say how great it is to find others who enjoy this classic game. I am looking forward to playing many epic games in the next league (Spring?) and can't wait till it gets started. I have been playing this game for over 10 years and it's awesome to find others that still love this game. Anyone who wants to play some GEN exhibition games, AIM me... My AIM is KingsCupRun93 Great to be here! -Dane
  3. Addison, don't have a picture. Unfortunately, we weren't into the game as much 10 years ago (to actually take a picture lol) and thought we could do it again. From my best memory, all 5 guys on your team have to get a penalty. First off, you need to pin the opposing goalie in the corner (so he's stuck) by taking a HARD interference penalty by pinning the goalie in the corner after you've dumped the puck in. Then, all of your skaters have to have the time to come up and take interference penalties into the goalie. Usually by the time the 4th skater is going to take a penalty, the goalie gets unstuck then moves to the puck. Then, it's to late because the goalie goes back to the bench for the delayed penalty. But once in a blue moon, he gets stuck for enough time to get all of your skaters penalties running running him in the corner. This, combined with running penalties high earlier in the game, is how we did it. Oh yeah, also if you get a lot (a ton!) of penalties, your goalie named and numbered player will actually be playing as a position skater. This is less rare but really cool the first time you do it! Man, I love this game.
  4. Halifax, sorry for the oversight. That is for the SEGA GENESIS. I never tried it with the SNES. By the way, anyone out there who does in fact accomplish this, please take a picture of the STATS page at the end of the game to prove it. Thanks!
  5. Bradu, thanks for sharing your detailed analysis on fighting. I really enjoying reading through it. 93 NHL is my favorite game and I have spent a lot of time studying the game as it sounds like you have as well. I have spent most of my years playing the game trying to accomplish a certain challenge (see my other post in this form). Through trying to achieve that goal I have come across many interesting scenarios that happen when you start amassing a LOT of penalties. It's pretty cool. Anyhow, thanks again for the post. It was a great read!
  6. Hey guys, I am new to this site (94 NHL) and it is sweet. I am looking forward to playing in the Spring. However, my favorite NHL game is 93 NHLPA. Why? Well, I could go on and on with my reasons. It is just an amazing game. 13 years on and I am still discovering new goals and interesting angles (glitches etc..). My brother and I have logged over 10,000 games and came up with an interesting challenge about 10 years ago. The goal is -> 1) pick OTTAWA as you team. 2) set the period length to 5 minutes 3) Make sure that OFFSIDES is on and fighting is on but NO LINE CHANGES 4) PICK MONTREAL in the PLAYOFF FORMAT to play against 5) Now you're ready for the challenge. You must get 100 penalties AND WIN THE GAME. The easiest way to rack up the penalties is with interference with the goaltender. However, you will need to be way more creative than just that as you need 100 penalties AND you must win the game. Basically, you need to have GREAT defensive skills as OTTAWA is not rated high at all on defense. But, THAT'S THE GREAT CHALLENGE! Now, it is NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish this feat playing with 1 player. So, I suggest you try it with the TEAMATE format. Plus, it's much more fun this way. Because when you get to 99 penalties and your buddy screws it up letting DENIS SAVARD blow right by him you will want to kill him, believe me. So, good luck trying to accomplish this challenge, YOU'LL NEED IT! Also, through studying the game it is possible to have 0 skaters on the ice for your team through racking up so many penalties!!! Wow, I think I've played this game too much.
  7. I would love to play 93 online in a league. I have logged over 10,000 games of NHL 93 and have also spent a lot of time studying the game and all of it's amazing flaws and glitches. I am new to this form and site (94 NHL) and am going to be registering for the Spring. Good to be here! KEEP 93 NHL ALIVE BABY!!
