  3. back in the old days there was a editor for some of the NHL games on PS3... the rosters where in your save data, then you transfer it to your PC and use a database editor... EA database editor? ummm cant remember http://www.artemkh.com/ maybe something similar back be done to edit rewind on console
  4. its in 93 too... its just a glitch that happens sometime... i think its when you get checked as your trying to shoot maybe they wanted to add a fake shot someday and never finished it?

  7. i dont know about you... but i consider a player belonging to whatever team they played the most games for... by those standards, i see some players on the wrong team

  9. nevermind... i just opened it up with a hex editor and its different compressed? .gba to .bin conversion? or like the old days... make a nes table to see text

  13. so ive been playing around with penalties in 98... you can give 2 minute penalties for offsides and icing and faceoffs, kinda fun when a goalie covers the puck he gets a penalty and skates to the box as for fighting... there is only 1 fight per game in 5,10,20 min doesnt matter also the rating system is backwards, in NOSE theres the category "roughness" well the toughguys have a lower number 1 or 2... and the sissys have a 5 or 6 so im thinking what "roughness" actually is... is AVOID PENALTY or like composure ... umm whats another word AND when comparing to 94 its the opposite... toughguys will have a higher number (with some expeptions) so what is this "roughness"? in the later games its something different and... with aggression, 6 is the highest at 99 but yet theres players with Aggression over that 7 8 9 A B C D E F TRIVIA: what player is on 2 different teams in 94? ANSWER: Stu Grimson... ANA and CHI back to the 98 code... im thinking the beginning part is the referee animation in the upper corner when a penalty is called, then the time before the player skates to the box, then the penalty minute amount but stuff like offsides icing faceoff have 00 for penalty minute mount... so you can change it to make people go to the box so im guessing you can do the opposite, make penalties 00 and they wont get called?

  15. fights? line brawls?! goalie fights!? 70s mode with bench clearning brawls!? fan fights!? headbutting?! intent to injure with suspensions!? * sigh * i think EA should hire smozoma as project developer for the update
  16. one thing i though was cool was how you can "Dump VRAM" to vram.bin then edit it with YYCHR or TM then "Load VRAM" to see your changes IN GAME!!! (while the game is paused) its a fast and easy way to make graphical changes... BUT, i have no idea how to save it permanently!!! hey you know what... you are right, i dumped the VRAM and lined up the face and look at the address at the bottom 6E80 so the question now is... how do you trace the address back to the position in the rom =/
  17. i dont understand the address in the below pictures.... there must be a easier way to find a single tile in YYCHR OFFSET: 6E80 ID: 374 hmmmm in TM E358C +15 = E359B more later... if i line up the face to the first tile i get 0E3D0C, which makes me believe that is the real address

    NHL98 more like 94

    just played nhl 2002 for gba and re-visited 98... if the ice looked like 92 93 94, i think people would like it more =) just a quick ice cleanup, need to find more tiles

  21. im telling you, its just 94 with updated teams and rosters... same f**kin thing we've been doing here for 20 years only on a modern console so DO NOT give EA your money its just another EA cash grab when it comes out... do a pixel by pixel analysis of the logos and we'll find out whos rom EA "borrowed" from this site =P
