  1. Mike, your win loss record is literally an exact replica of what mine was 5 games into the season. You can turn it around. The challenge will help you improve, if anything.
  2. The schedule has already been set anyways. For next season though, 2 games a day wouldn't be bad, but I do like this as well. A season that blows by too quickly makes it less fun, in my opinion.
  3. Sundin and Sakic Light the Lamp After starting the regular season in a 5 game losing slump, the Flames weren't looking too hot. Mats Sundin and Joe Sakic are looking to change that. Both Sundin and Sakic pounded in 5 goals in a 10-7 win in Edmonton Thursday night in a bizarre game where nothing was going right on defense. With a 7-3 lead going into the 3rd, a win seemed guaranteed, but the NHL gods tried to change that. After having Ulf Samuelsson crash his own net, Hextall lost control of the puck and the puck slid in to make it 8-4. Then, Samuelsson intercepted a pass in front of his own net and proceeded to fire it off Hextalls shoulders and into the top of the net. Later, a wildly bouncing puck bounced to Mark Messiers stick and was shot in just beside Hextall to make it 8-6. With things going the way they were, the Flames were panicked and played hard to squeeze out the 10-7 win. "It's a relief to get a win, but i'm dissapointed we didn't have a bigger win." said coach Logan Tessier, "We had them that game but we fell apart defensively, and don't even get me started on Samuelsson." The Flames still are at the bottom of the Central Division, but if Sundin and Sakic continue to play like they did tonight, that will change in a hurry.
  4. The draft was random, and it was a snake draft anyways, meaning if you did get a pick near the bottom, you also got to make another one right away. The draft was fair, as long as it's random.
  5. Then, i'll execute my master plan.... KIDNAPPING THEO FLEURY *insert lightening and thunder here* BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  6. I swear it's all a ruse to lull the other teams into a fall sense of security. Seriously.
  7. The Calgary Flames are under new coaching staff this season, and head coach Logan Tessier is feeling confident. The Flames are boasting a strong offensive lineup this season, after picking up Swedish sensation Mats Sundin at center, with young up-and-coming star Joe Sakic and veteran Joe Mullen. On the defensive end, Ulf Samuelsson looks to bang some bodies around, while Dave Manson does his job protecting the net. Goalie Ron Hextall, despite having a meager 70% save percentage in the pre-season, has been showing some skill with some spectacular saves. Forwards Center Mats Sundin has been tearing it up in the pre-season, accumulating 39 goals and 10 assists to lead his team. Joe Sakic, despite having a slow start, came back with a flash and has 17 goals and 11 assists. Joe Mullen is just one point ahead of Sakic and has been setting Sundin up with 21 assists and 8 goals. Defense Ulf Samuelsson and Dave Manson have combined for 33 assists to help out the Flames offensively, and have been doing their job at their own end. Samuelsson also leads the team in penalty minutes, delivering crunching hits every game. Goalies Ron Hextall is struggling with only a 70% save percentage, but has also been coming up big at the end of games. He is expected to turn it up in the regular season to help the Flames rack up wins. Backups Alexander Semak has been showing he is capable of stepping in for Sundin and producing for the Flames. Semak has 3 goals, 2 of which occured back to back during a 5on3 shorthanded powerplay for the opposition. Semak is now the replacement for any forward who gets injured or penalized. Kelly Kisio has a goal and 3 assists, and has also been doing well when replacing an injured/penalized teammate. Defensemen Norm Maciver and Dave Poulin have been good backups for Samuelsson and Manson, doing their part on defense. Goalie Jeff Reese has only put been out once in the 3rd period, and has a 0% save percentage, and is not expected to see much, if any, ice time this season. UPDATE: 5 games, 5 losses. Coach Tessier contemplates murdering Hextall.
  8. I agree with the winner doing it, unless it's agreed that someone will do it beforehand. It's simple to do once you understand and have the right emulator, so why not? If you have troubles, just request that the other guy does it .
  9. Hm, I get pretty much the opposite of what you have. I have a 1482kbps download rate, but a low 325kbps upload rate.
  10. Agreed. 5 minutes makes it much more exciting.
  11. It took you twelve rounds of drafting to figure out that you didn't ?
  12. Just a note, I voted for lighter blue, but I also like grey, and I prefer ANY of them over traditional blue. So uh, that should help with the tie breaker a bit.
  13. I'm all for grey. White is okay with me, but blue bugs the crap out of me. Grey ice ftw (Also Canadian spelling ftw )
  14. I'm all for the grey ice. The white ice IS slightly annoying, but the grey is fine. The blue ice bugs me :-/.
