  1. I already have most of the info entered into a spreadsheet. I just wanted to check the ROM to verify everything and see if I was missing any players. I first created my own rosters for this game many years ago by writing down lists of player numbers on notebook paper. I then used various references (pre-internet) to figure out who was who. I just downloaded NOSE and took a peek at the ROM. What an amazing program! If only I had this years ago, it would've saved me hours of work. Oh well. At least after 20 years, I finally have complete roster sheets for NHL Hockey. haha
  2. Wow, I knew about the later revision with the EASN changed to just EA, but I've never heard of the earlier one with the fixed position fighting like '92. Has that ROM been dumped? And what was the deal with the white and grey labels on the cartridges? Did one come before the other, or were they just different runs produced at different factories?
  3. Right...you can get the rosters from the 1990-91 season on hockeydb.com or hockey-reference.com, but not every player who played that season was actually included in the game. I used to have an Excel spreadsheet which I used to keep track of which players were actually in the game. It was near complete, but undoubtedly had some holes as certain players are on the bench and only see ice time in the event of a replacement (due to penalties and such). It's tough to put together a comprehensive roster because there are definitely more players in the game than just the ones on the default lines (and of course, you can't edit your lines). Has anyone ever dug into this game's ROM with a hex editor and put together a complete list of team rosters? I wouldn't think it'd be that difficult.
