  1. Smoz is a big reason why this community is so amazing....

f'real. I wish there was a way to convince him to take on any more SNES hacks that seem to come so naturally to him. when he got so annoyed by unpolished attempts to have defense control default to active, it seemed to take him zero minutes to find the simplest fix. I'm SURE that the SNES dude could employ so many of the awesome hacks that the Genesis folks take for granted if we could just flail and fail dramatically first to trick him into swooping in like a caped hero.

  2. dude, guy... please admit that you are lying about the part about "consistent attendance....and always got along with 99 % of you." you consistently attended the message boards to rant about why you were bailing on yet another league or how literally just about every person was cheating and being awful to you. I've been here since day two, too, and I have seen your dozens of threads about rage violence, personal disagreements, quitting leagues because of rules/rulings, quitting leagues because of player strategy annoyances, quitting leagues because of substance use issues, quitting leagues because of job interference, quitting leagues because of family issues, quitting leagues because of interpersonal player disputes, quitting leagues because you broke your gear in frustration....so much drama! you should just admit that you thrive off of the drama that you (try to) create. I know this is just another thread that'll be gone next week, so there is little evidence to prove this stuff was real, but anybody who has been here the whole time could feel right about agreeing with this post, despite it coming from the second most hated member of the boards. that typed, I'm continually impressed by the leeway you are given. when I nicely asked to be forgiven and allowed to not be punished for deeds of years gone, I was banned. you? you get to call the moderators and administrators all sorts of names they don't deserve. you get to let your palpable rage boil over time and again. you get all of the fresh starts you request afforded to you, despite being cruel and rude and spammy and whiny and....well, anyway...welcome back! I hope your life is how you want it. good luck with this thread and I look forward to your next one within the next six months. you are predictable to the point that I don't doubt that you get tired of playing people around here who have come to know you -- your next move is already known!

  3. uh... stop aiming at the post! so, I totally don't understand the desire to have fewer posts, as it seems to be just like actual hockey, where if you take a whole bunch of shots, the ones that the goaltender doesn't get -- because they were sent wide of him intentionally -- have a medium likelihood of hitting iron. you aren't aiming five, you are aiming one, two, three, four. you aren't aiming at the netminder's chest, you are trying to get it into the area around him but still in the net, leaving you not much room to get it right. even the best shooters hit the the post sometimes. I get that the Genesis version has vacuums for nets, so posts are almost all goals, so I understand when Genesis guys think SNES has too many "clank" results, but you're a SNES guy for life, right? do the (North)Stars and Wild not hit posts like one to six times per game? I just don't get seeing this as something that needs to be "fixed," as it seems to be working just as it was intended. could you please elaborate on your request and the reasoning for it?

  4. hm. well, I think the recollection period has probably long passed, but I'd love to know how "aggression" works, technically. I suspect it is the player's reputation with the referees, with higher rating making incidental contact more likely to be called as a penalty. proof in that area has been elusive. I figure he'd have to have detailed notes on hand or be a tracing master or something like that. I doubt he'd be able to be like "oh, yeah, no, it's nothing, actually... it sure affects the overall rating, though, doesn't it?!" also, is he still well versed enough to take a commission on a further hacking job, like, say, putting fighting back "in the game" for us? if he entertains these questions or not, be sure to give him serious thanks from those of us still obsessed with his works.

  5. well, the Genesis hacking section can help you to understand how to make those adjustments without the editor. it's certainly not super simple, but I don't think the Genesis editor is all that easy, either, and doing it directly in the hex data isn't too hard. if you are only trying to make a few adjustments to make it more enjoyable for you, editing the hex values directly may be the way to go.
