  1. Disrespectful when asking for games? Come on man. You've gotta do better than that. We both know I haven't disrespected you when asking for games. Maybe you should UP the frames now that I hear you are lag spiking yet again.. Then your record will really take a hit.
  2. It seems as if AJ is refusing to play me this season. That is cool. BUT, I want to say something. If we do meet up in the playoffs (round 3), I'm not going to waste my time playing this guy's game and let him do whatever he wants. I'm not going to tolerate any buffoonery. I'm not tolerating any garbage such as stupid play times because of "having no connection and time", and I'm not going to deal with his antics IN-GAME such as putting on +3 smoothing and refusing to take it off or scoring on lag spikes. There should be a hard deadline of 5-7 days. If we fail to reach the deadline primarily to AJ's stupid scheduling/antics, it's going to be a forfeit for AJ. If it's on me, I will take the forfeit. If the series DOES get a "deadline extension" because of the "oh, I don't want to have a forfeit late in the playoffs with top players", I'm not going to play. If it results in my disqualification then so be it. There is no point in wasting the league's time over a grown man who has no "time" or internet in 2016. If it comes to that point, think of it as the first step in the NHL '94 community of not tolerating the bullshit of guys who don't want to free up some time in their life to play a video game.
  3. Is there any reason my name is not on the list?
  4. When I made a joke about a black guy being Kevin Weekes, I remember getting flagged by all the moderators. When clockwise makes a similar joke... "it's just a joke". lol!
  5. I'll take BOS, then NYR. If koke changes his mind, The Blackhawks are my next option.
  6. 4 losses from AJ and I clinch first seed..
  7. The passing rating does make a difference, but it's a very minimal one. I'd say the pass rating is the least important of them all.
  8. I've said this multiple times before. The section labelled "AIM Screen Name" for the Classic Registration is confusing for many newcomers. It should say "AIM Login" instead. I'd say about 25-30% of newcomers get confused and actually put the nickname they choose for AIM. I've probably seen close to 80 newcomers get tricked by this. I remember for a fact that Uncle Seth was tricked by this too. Now he is one of our top players. There is a good chance we have missed out on 4-5 high level players due to this confusion.
  9. Any chance the SNES guys can get Bo, Grayto or Oilers? Or for GENS: swos?
  10. Don't ask for an alternative to AIM here.. you'll get crucified.
  11. I am pretty sure the weight bug is in 93!!
  12. Who can get all 5 starting members to 100 points? I came really close in GDL14 and will come close this GDL. However, I'm not going to intentionally try to get points with my dmen to hit the mark.
  13. You can play against players your own skill level, but you shouldn't AVOID playing against those who are better than you. It makes sense to avoid playing against those who are clearly worse, but the other way around is a no go. I don't care what you think. If you are looking for "competitive" games, then you are trying to win. If you are more content with winning at a lower level than being the best, then you are a coward. Either you completely play for FUN and not care about the results, or you play for competitiveness and try to be the best. I don't believe in the idea of "playing for fun in a competitive setting". That's just negative thinking and it leads to low self-esteem. If you play for FUN, you don't care who you play against and you don't care if you win or lose. If you play for COMPETITIVENESS, you want to be the best. You should never achieve maximum happiness by playing in the B leagues (like dcicon). Bottom line: you are a coward if you whine about getting owned, cheer about owning scrubs, and desperately try to avoid improving at the game. Getting owned is part of the game. If you want to play to win, get better.
  14. There used to be a "C" tier and most would leave because there was no interaction with the "C" community. The "C" players were completely separated from the community. 99% of "C" players definitely had no knowledge of GDL/Blitz/anything else even existing. Most wouldn't even go on the forums. As for a 6-man league... you may as well make it a tournament. It's a complete joke to have a 6-man league. The CFL is a joke. You can disagree with me, but that would just make you wrong. ------------------------------------------------ If you can't stand getting crushed, you're a baby. Get better at the game. You should never be truly content without being the best. These are the players the community should avoid. If you only want to play against people your level (when you aren't a high level player), you're a weakling. Plain and simple. I used to be a weakling. Don't be like me.
  15. Didn't notice any problems when I won GDL 2x with Coffey as the #1 scoring dman in the league
  16. NHL '94 Noobs 101 lol. I used to be the same way until I (and most others) realized how much of a disadvantage it was to be playing with the shitty players just because of their weight.
  17. Coffey (and Housley) are maxed out in the two most important stats in the game. Coffey has the harder shot, Housley has the lighter weight. When you have the second best skating attributes in the game, I'm not worrying about weight. How does weight matter when you can't hit Coffey anyway? Coffey has the better shot, and for that reason I put him ahead of Housley. Bourque is the next best defenseman in the game. As for your first point, guys like Ronning,Bradley and Gilmour are levels below Bure/Ciccarelli/Fleury/Gretzky whereas LaFontaine is just one tier below.
  18. Ciccarelli is a 5/4 skater. Best two-way player in the game can't be Ciccarelli as he only has 2 defensive awareness which is tied for the lowest of all regular forwards. Also, Coffey is the best Dman in the game. You don't want to sit Coffey.
  19. CBK is a pussy baby . I'm not sure why he signs up for leagues.
  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-2fGVnJ1sQ The arena in the picture is the same as the one featured in the video. The ads and grey bars that separate the boards are the exact same in positioning and length, and you can see the railings too. Also, you can search for images of 1992 Boston Bruin hockey cards. You can see that the arena looks identical to what is in the picture on the cards where the picture was taken in the Boston Garden.
  21. Yeah. It's most likely from a game in which the home team decided not to wear white.
  22. That picture is was taken in the Boston Garden. I think it's legit.
  23. It's not a bug. It's intentionally coded into the game. It's in NHL '94 and all of the other NHL games I played religiously. NHL 06,07,08,09,10,11,12 all have the same thing. There are animations in NHL 06 that trigger an empty net miss. So if you have an open net and the goalie is out of position, the game will make the goalie do a certain desperation animation which triggers the missing of an open net if you decide to shoot it. The are also invisible walls in the NHL 09-14 for the 360 and PS3. Sometimes the puck hits a force field barrier before going in an open net. ----------------------------------------- EA Sports has a whole range of random things. In the old NBA Live games, everything was a swish. No bank shots, no off the rim and in, etc. Just swish. In FIFA 06, there was something that would trigger the AI to take the ball (in your half), sprint all the way back to their half on the sidelines, and when you would finally pressure them with your attackers they would just kick it out of bounds. And 2K Sports, wasn't much better. One of the games coded Iginla with a Ginger Brown mullet.
