  1. I like it when you go to Edit Lines and you see the true player attributes. (With the real numbers, after adjusting for Hot and Cold.) I am not sure if this is what you mean, or what SmozROM or 4 or 5 is...
  2. Dave Manson and Netminder sensation Chris Terreri on block for any D-man and a better netminder. Ja?
  3. LA Kings trade Iafrate for Ulf Samuelson with Vegas
  4. LA Kings trade Kasatonov for Adam Burt with VGK.
  5. LA Kings swap every player with the Vegas Golden Knights in what can only be called the trade of the century!!! Jury is still out on who got the short end of the stick. NOT!!!! Woohoo!!!!!
  6. 8.3 LA Kings take Tommy Sjodin
  7. 7.14 LA Kings take Adam Burt
  8. 6.3 LA Kings take Ulf Samuelson
  9. You're Welcome. The player is extremely limited. I never found a way to skip ahead or rewind during playback. You just press play and gotta rewatch the whole damn thing. But!! To pause/unpause you hit ESCAPE. You will need whatever ROM was used when you generated the recordings. Technically ".krec" files aren't video files, they are just timestamps of all the button presses that occurred. These get sewn together with the ROM to re-enact the games. This makes for super-small krec. files, since so little data needs to be saved.
  10. You use Gens itself. Go to File > Netplay like you do to play a game. But then in the Change Mode drodown at the top, choose "Player" instead of (the default) "P2P".
  11. Would be cool to have the "checks after whistle don't count" hack/patch! Is that hard to do?
  12. 1 min penalties or even no penalties is my preference.
  13. Awesome, J&J! I am in. LA Kings, if possible.
  14. It is a bit late for me. I will see if Atomic wants to go. I did call them to confirm the console. After a couple different people, the resident nerd said it is played on "Super NES Classic Edition", so I am guessing one of those re-released original consoles, with the HDMI outputs. Knowing that, one of our real SNES guys should be going! There must be an SNES guy from Toronto? (I mean, a Toronto guy won Ko94 on it, after all.) When I called about tonight's "contest" the first guy to answer snickered, and said "We are just playing the game. It is not really a contest." I realize the Facebook page says otherwise, I am just sharing what I heard.
  15. I am in Toronto, and this Ice Storm is for real! A friend here just posted on Facebook about a utility pole falling into his house and sparks flying. Power is out for his neighborhood now. They mentioned this storm a couple days ahead, and for once, they got it right.
  16. Atomic and I (mostly Atomic) made www.nhl94rocks.com to keep track of our own exhibition games, which we do in 3, 5 and 7 game series. So we made a site that kept track of 3, 5, and 7 game series, with the original ROM plus a few others from leagues we play in. We opened this project up to allow other people to use it, and you are welcome to do so. If you are interested and have questions, post them here, or in
  17. Hmm. If it was Genesis on a Genesis I would go for sure. SNES emulated on a Nintendo 64? Er, no thanks.
  18. So Raph, do you only clean when a controller gets funky? Or you do it regularly even if no issue? One thing I like about the big, fat original 3-button is how common they are. I have had an order in for a 6-button in a local store in Toronto, and in 3 months, nada. (Yes, I know I can go online and get one.) With the 3-button, it is easy to get more in person to harvest parts. So in your experience, since the problem is always the rubber pads, do you see yourself "set for life" now that Mortoffgames offers rubber pad replacements? Have you ever worn through a replacement rubber pad yet? (I noticed my replacements pads are *slightly* different, The single button contact points is ≈10% smaller.) PS: I fixed the link. (Not sure if the new link works for the 1653, too, Link is for 6-button 1470) PPS: Sorry for all the questions, but I think it may help others. Plus, maybe I should switch over to the 6-button if they are easier to maintain.
  19. Reserved for some useful links... 3 Button Rubber Pads https://www.mortoffgames.com/controller-repair-parts215/sega-genesis-3-button-controller-conductive-pad-set 6 Button Rubber Pads https://www.mortoffgames.com/controller-repair-parts215?product_id=938 Youtube Videos on Cleaning 1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdJK6IBnfeU 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jhf6EDgVmkk 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ltuwD9MryY 4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiICFn2vz88
  20. To the people that are using original controllers, how do you care for and maintain these ancient tools? I mean specifically the MK-1650 (large, 3-button) and MK-1653 (small, 6-button). In the post below I will have some useful links, but I would love to get a Controller Care Guide going here? I have some "rubber pad replacements" I just installed, from mortoffgames.com. When I opened one of my controllers up, I was surprised that the rubber pads looked good. However, there were bits of plastic loose in the controller, where the plastic buttons had broken tabs, which (I now see) were meant to secure the buttons. The result was "depressed" buttons, which were not "upheld" by the small tabs. There was also a bunch of cat hair, and random bits of fluff. I feel I really need plastic button replacements, not new rubber pads; for this particular controller. Also, one of the rubber buttons I replaced worked worse than the original. I had to un-replace it. I am wondering: What are common issues with the controllers? How do you fix each common issue? What issues are unfixable? Where can we get supplies? General strategies for care and maintenance (I bet you have a collection of controllers and re-use bits of each here and there, right?) What makes these near indestructible controllers so good?
  21. I asked the same thing when I started here. Check out http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/17203-tips-for-genesis-rookies/
  22. Welcome GoTitans21! Did you see this post: Guide For New Members? For pickup games ("exis") I would say go to the #exhibition-games channel on Discord around 9pm EST if possible... that is often a busy time. Though it never hurts to ask whenever, cuz you never know?
