  1. Just her ass? That's fine. But she's a butterface lollylol
  2. Well what did you think the "92" in his name stood for?! Vinnie's a '91 though (I think, he's graduating high school in May/June), and we like him enough
  3. How about best-of-1. That said I am nominally in. Recent weeks have seen me get a life more and more.
  4. ...the idiotic point system in GDL? At the very least give out a bonus point for winning in regulation, mirroring the current Swedish (and former European) point system. Otherwise, I remain in the market for arranging overtime games with any other coach.
  5. This is also known in GDL-speak as "Carseing it up," and is used to great effect in allowing Bo's brother get a 100-point season.
  6. The Chicago Blackhawks would like permission to relocate to (not very recently) Sunny San Jose, California, home of their owner, and become the Sharks. League permission pending commissioner approval or, failing that, a two-thirds vote of the owners lollylol.
  7. 1.3 - Oakland/Boston selects Pavel Bure
  8. Hey smoz, I understand and like your modification, but I think it should be a coin flip: it is either what I proposed, or the reverse of it. I think that if we allow it to come down to 50 percent picks, there's a severe chance of weirdness. It's kinda like the 2-2-1-1-1 playoff system vs. the 2-3-2 - you might as well complete everything in a block to save on travel costs. If we were to have a random or semi-random allocation of draft vs. keeper spots, there is a high possibility of draft confusion and/or apathy. Furthermore, I think that we should work with absolute guidelines regarding which numbers are drafts and which are keepers. Half your starting roster, half your injury skaters, and half of your reserves should be subject to turnover.
  9. I understand the idea that you have to risk/lose your best players, but I don't think we should have a guessing game going. In all honesty, some coaches' top players aren't going to be anything the same, and sometimes work best in concert with the other player that we want to keep. It'd be nice if we just did it like the first draft, but with a little more variance maybe? * No player is "protected." Round 1 - Keep one player on your current roster. Round 2/3 - Snaking draft Rounds 4/5 - Keep two players. Rounds 6/7 - Snaking draft Rounds 8/9 - Keep two players. Rounds 10/11/12 - Free Agency? Compensatory picks (for new coaches): At the end of Rounds 1, 5, and 9, and the beginning of Rounds 4 and 6, new coaches will add another drafted player to their roster in order to make up for the returning coaches' keeper picks. We could also have the first two rounds be drafted, but I know that people will be upset about that. Maybe next season we could do that.
  10. AJ, if we have 25 coaches, can we try 5 divisions of 5 teams each? It still amounts to 56 games if the format remains the same.
  11. FDL will begin this week. I'll run through the rom tomorrow and Tuesday and try and get everything double-checked and polished up. In the meantime, I'm pretty torn. I know that GDL has a basis of people that, together, can run this kind of league better than I. And yet we have this alternative that I would like to continue to see through. There is one key here - FDL will be using offsides - but Blitz has not adopted that rule and will be unlikely to do so...and both are weight-bug fixed. Many GDL coaches are involved in FDL, and it seems pointless to have a similarly-based draft only one month after one was already staged. Plus, the people that have voted on the weight-bug fix are people that, for the most part, did not pounce on the opportunity to join FDL (where there is an open spot for Ottawa). Anyways, do what you wish, but for the sake of avoiding redundancy I vote NO and encourage others to do the same. Wait a season, and if this Draft League duality does not work, we can vote again and I will be voting yes.
  12. I think that, in light of mack's affiliation with the site and his personal relationship with Don Sanderson, we are not so much at liberty to discuss rules regarding fisticuffs in the rulebook. Basically, if mack thinks that it should get banned, it should probably get banned. However, this article probably more likely sums up the issue: http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianp...DyTEBIIoSIjcvXw
  13. If you want to organize, I'd be all for it
  14. New list for me: 1. Oakland Seals 2. Colorado Rockies 3. Toronto Maple Leafs 4. New York Islanders
  15. I'm in for GDL6. List in order: 1. Oakland Seals 2. Colorado Rockies 3. New York Islanders (pending Saturday night's game) 4. ??? TBA
  16. Sorry that FDL is starting so slowly - it just takes a while to go through everyone's rosters when I'm not getting any help, plus it's the holidays and I just don't have a whole lot of time right now.
  17. Well, if I could implement the two-line pass rule and add another one or two lines, that'd be nice...but I can't. Offsides is there for a reason, and something has to act as the offsides rule in hockey and soccer. If the CPU was smart, it would do what FPB does and station a forward up in the attacking crease.
  18. Hokkee's right - everyone here is too used to run-n-gun...and it doesn't take a lot to get used to playing with the line. While the official party line is that we're just trying this out, I'd really love to see blue-line leagues become the norm, instead of the rare exception. But we will soon see.
  19. I think we'll have an award at the end of the season: The "I'm so good I just went offsides again" award. Sponsored by Toyota.
  20. I still have more than twice as many posts as you.
