the top power rankings are based on performance against opposing teams. the formula is something like this, but i dont remember how i have it adjusted currently: you get X pts for a win +if you win, you get all of the other team's points added to your total +if you lose, you get a fraction of the other team's points added to your total +if you tie, you get a larger fraction then divide by games played

i plan on updating the team pages. when i get around to that i will add anything you guys want.

yeah i guess i forgot to delete the preseason scoring and penalty summaries. i'll need to go in and fix that.

ok more preseason remnants. hopefully thats all of them, they should be gone.

try it again. there was a bug when i reset the schedule after the preseason, but it should be fixed now.

ok i moved the schedule up 10 days so you should have at least a few games to start playing.

i fixed a bug and it should really work this time. i uploaded your game file with no problem.

i'm not going to be around much tonight. I think the problem most likely is that the teams were moved around on the rom, so they are not in the expected order in the extractor. They should be in the same order as season 2 and 1 and the original rom.

my main priority has always been data over presentation. right now i think a decent recordbook needs to be added. dadonch is redoing some of the logos, so i will be uploading them. i don't mind criticism as it will help things improve, although shoddy isn't a very inspiring term. give the site time to grow.

If you guys want to hire a professional designer for a better look, then go for it. I would be happy to apply some professional changes to upgrade my shoddy work.

"boarding" must have been one of the terms I found in the game when I was researching the penalties in the save state files. That's not the point, and I don't really care what the penalty is called--I was just wondering if the same penalty was called consistently for every non-goalie caused injury.

if the injury happens in the middle of the ice, is it still called boarding? I should probably know this, but I don't.

Just to be clear, this rule would only mean that the same owner can't have both of the same guy? In other words, there would still be two Yakes, but they would have to play on separate teams, right? The original intent of this league was to keep the game as close to the original as possible with the exception being the drafted rosters. Having two of the same guy in the league, albeit not on the same team, was one of the quirks of the original game, which is why I felt that both should be included. All-stars will not be included, sorry.

I think the rule should stay as it was on the original. The more rules get changed, the less relevant older statistics become. As far as injury stats go, I noticed that there is no penalty called when a goalie injures a player. We would only be tracking injuries that occur along the boards?

it's not possible to pad your stats using a different name because the stats would go to 2 different people. I can add an ip check to the database.

If someone wants to list some or all of the playoff matchups that i need to enable for uploading purposes, that would be fantastic. I have been too busy to keep up. We will start another draft as soon as we get organized.

i will make it so you can upload the games. i just need a list of what games to put into the database so they can be uploaded.

how about just for the draft we count unplayed games as wins or maybe even wins x 2 its hard to know who to punish when a game goes unplayed.
