  2. It's about 9 months away, but the Long Island Retro Expo has confirmed the dates of Saturday Aug 11th and 12th in 2018 at the Cradle of Aviation Museum (same venue as the 2017 tournament) Nothing has been set yet, but I fully expect that we will run a '94 tournament on one of those days. So get your fare alerts and plans set for a trip to NYC in August! More information to come later (way later), but I wanted to get this out now.

  4. HEADS UP -- The 2017 Long Island Retro Gaming Expo dates have been set for August 12th and 13th. There WILL be another NHL'94 tournament held there run by Evan, Chaos, and myself (and possibly other volunteers), but it's too early to have any more details at this time. There's always the possibility of organizing some '94 community event on Friday the 11th as well if we get folks coming in for this. The location will be closer to the city than last year located at the Cradle Of Aviation Museum in Garden City -- https://www.cradleofaviation.org/ We know there will be a big KO94II e

  6. The WI tournament featuring the greatest hockey game of all time, NHL94 is back! Pucks Out 4 Harambe is our 2nd NHL94 tournament, and plans to be even bigger and better than our first effort! Our goal for turnout would be a 50% increase over last tournament, which was 16. We are hoping for at least 24-32 for this event, and have enough systems to support as many as 64 players! 7. I wanted to make a thread for buds to post where they'd be coming from. I know a number of you may be on the fence based on travel expenses or time. If you can share expenses, it makes the burden lighter. Let's put out where buds are coming from, and see if we can consolidate some costs. While we feel growth will continue locally as reputation grows, we truly feel the competitive spirit will be kindled by the traveling buds out there. For the would be flyers, it seems that it's a better value to fly into MKE rather than GRB Airports, leaving some opportunities for sharing a rental
  8. Good afternoon everyone. My name is George and I am a new poster to NHL94.com. I am the new Volunteers Coordinator for the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo which is planned to take place on August 13th, 2016 at the Upsky Hotel in Hauppauge, Long Island, New York. Here is the link to information about the expo: http://expo.liretro.com/ The expo held a NHL 94 Genesis tournament last year, and had only 6 participants. After the tournament, I looked at the popularity of the game from the community standpoint and felt that the tournament should of had more participants. This year, I am cur
  9. So I just had an idea of doing a little tournament with some of the GDL teams vs Classic teams. Probably the top 8 of each or something and then run a Champions league tournament. While I do think pretty much any GDL roster would be much better built, it would still be fun.
  10. I've already tried posting this on snesot.com but it didn't seem to spur any interest. I've tested the game (I will supply the ROM) and it works fine, but the speech is a little off. The rules would include auto line changes and offsides. I just wanted to try something different from NHL '94. I've also created a format. If anyone has any interest I will post further details. It would be played via snesot.com. Let me know!
