  1. After 2 years of development, Puck off skated its way on steam on May 13th to bring its own brand of rough and tumble no rules hockey on the frozen pond, think of it as Rock the Rink and the World of Chel turned on its head. its physics-based no holds barred hits and contact on ice gameplay it has, that other indie games like hockey? and slapshot rebound sadly is missing. The downside is that currently there is no online multiplayer and it requires a controller in order to play. so, also no keyboard support yet but has a challenging single player mode and you can play with your friends on remote play with up to 4 players for co-op or versus. You can check it out for yourself here:
  2. Tape to Tape a indie game that's part hockey, part RPG, has just landed a demo on steam, so far there is no keyboard support yet, so it can only be played with controllers only. The developers are also looking for testers to playtest the game. here is a link to try the demo out for yourself. You can also play with 4 people via remote play: The game is aiming for a December release date of this year, but they also have a Kickstarter coming up so watch that prelaunch space as well https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tapetotape/tape-to-tape
  3. Like another love letter to the blades of steel hockey game with some 3 on 3 action? Then watch this space for Light the lamp Hockey going for a late 2022 release on steam.
  4. Ready to drop the gloves again at the Bush hockey league of the 70s this time on the road? https://www.terminals.io/games/bush-hockey-league-switch/news/3596?fbclid=IwAR2nziGcWCATu0oJaFSpVL72tD8GoPa7Uuu_IvF8yTQVHbd7CItrntn0IUk
  5. Hockey heroes: Puck off: Goons: Legends of the Hockeyverse Pond Hockey Simulator '84 Ice League Hockey: Tape to Tape: Pc hockey league: Canvas Hockey: Spacy Hockey: VNHL 2022 Got any other current indie Hockey games in the making to add to this thread? share them here in this showcase.
  6. An acadey hockey game created in 2012 by Daniel X Moore. dumbmanex provides the artwork for the game. Red ice is made with HTML 5 coding You play as 6 crazy teams and crush your opponents into the ice till they turn it red and slapshot that puck into that goal. remember one thing: Look out for the Zambonis, they can run you and everyone else over and blow up when they take critical damage. The game kind of like a mix of both Hit the ice with Mutant league hockey and Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey Bu. Originally was going to have 2 skaters and 1 goalie on each team (commentary by dumbmanex the artist) The creator behind the game, Daniel X Moore, decided to shorten it to 2 v 2 with 1 skater and 1 goalie. The only way to play the game is the demo on Newgrounds with only 2 teams available https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/614376 Or the betas or alpha versions in his github https://github.com/PixieEngine/RedIce the full game used to be in the Chrome store but then got pulled down because of it being outdated or incompatible. But you can listen to the games kick awesome music by Aaron Cherof on bandcamp https://cherof.bandcamp.com/album/red-ice Old site saved from the wayback machine https://web.archive.org/web/20141010204024/http://redicegame.com/
  7. Heres another indie hockey game, being created by WTG Bear Studios, its a successor or sequel to the 2011 Xbox 360 indie game, Blockey. But this game unlike the 2011 game, the new Blockey is a 3d hockey game using Unity and its a hockey game with its own arcade variation and format. It is nuts. Blockey had been in development since 2014, then in 2017 the creator decided to take a new direction and started putting in more sports in the game (such as tennis, baseball, and basketball) and retitled Blockey to Rocko Blocko Sports, which is a pretty questionable concept. No new information from WTG Bear Studios or new video game footage has come out about Blockey, as of this year. So nothing yet is known about this game being on Hiatus, scrapped, shelved or even canceled.
