The concrete business probably isn't working out for him

Fleury scored the shoot out winner last night....judging by the coverage of local news here...I'm guessing the flames won the cup in september.

He is making the trip to Vancouver tonight and will play in back-to-back games for the first time. Keep going Theoren...

Looks like he got scratched tonight...

I just have to say Fleury's shootout goal, was so old school.

Left > right > Goal.

You can tell just by watching him hes from a different generation of hockey.

I think its pretty awesome.

My prediction is he'll get injured.

That was his go-to move on a breakaway if he would deke. There's a clip of him on YouTube somewhere undressing Patrick Roy with the same move on a penalty shot.

It really is remarkable to see him playing again, contributing as well- even though during "meaningless" preseason games. His fitness levels have been tremendous, and while he doesn't have the same acceleration and speed of the glory days, he still has his vision, patience, shot and offensive creativity.

He's gotten better game by game so far...will be interesting to see how this plays out. I really don't have a prediction, but I've learned to never count out Theoren Fleury.

He got an assist last night, too, in his third game. He got rocked by a hit just as he passed it.

Finished the game with 1 assist, 1 shot, +/- 0 (+1 on his assist and -1 on a goal by the Sedins)

he currently has more points than Iginla  But they each have 1pt/gp

He's been getting front page coverage almost every day here for the passed week.

Last preseason game on Saturday. Will get a decision on him soon after...

My guess is Abbotsford to start...and then by November he's in.

the dream is over

Darryl Sutter: "Our agreement with Theoren was that he had to be one of our top six wingers and there were never any intentions of assigning him to the American Hockey League."

Better luck next time!
