halifax
Now that the NHL has decided to put in a bid for the yotes...how many seasons do they have left?
The Russian Rocket
0 to 1. They loose a yearly 30 Millions, and never turned a profit in history. I think the rich clubs will get pissed quick enough.

Too soon to say. Right now it's just anti-Balsillie. Then the NHL will look at moving them, my money is on Kansas City sadly, but Winnipeg has a faint shot as well. halifax
Ice edge pulled out their bid...so now it's down to the nhl's bid of 140 million and Jim balisillie's bid of 242.5 million for the coyotes. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=290427

puckhead8926
This is the final season in Phoenix. I don't think the league would want the team to go Hamilton however, even though it would be great to see another Canadian team in the league. Since Phoenix is a major city in the United States it would be embarrassing for the NHL if the team moves to a smaller city. Winnipeg is bigger than Hamilton so it's worse for the league for a team to move back. I believe the league is looking to move the team to Kansas City or Las Vegas. They would rather keep the team in Phoenix than move to Hamilton. If Balsille gives the NHL and the city of Phoenix around 300 to 400 million combined Balsille will be the new owner. 242 million even though it can buy like 15 teams in the NHL, the league would rather lose 50 million a year than see a team move to Hamilton, Ontario. Oklahoma City has a bigger population than Hamilton.

They'd rather lose money than make money....they'd rather bring in owners who go to prison for fraud than bring in someone who's legit. under bettman's watch...these former owners have all gone to jail nashville - william del biaggio los angeles -bruce mcnall buffalo - john rigas ny islanders - john spano ny islanders - sanjay kumar
