Another new guy: not able to connect via netplay

Downloaded the default packages, tried to hook up online with another newbie and it failed.

When I open up the netplay file, the top left says n02.p2p v0r6 (Nov 1 2007)

First of all..am I using the right emulator?

If any vets want to help out a new guy and then teach him a lesson on the ice (gens preffered, but at this point I'll play SNES also because I WANT TO PLAY)

I have both packages downloaded and working on my computer..I can play games.

Any help is appreciated. If you send me a PM we can set up a time.
