orangeblack92
I am so happy with Paul Holmgren and the management of this team over the past three years. Hamhuis is ten times better than Parent in my opinion. I think Parent played about 40 seconds per game in the finals.

HABS
Big trade for Boston and Florida To Boston: Nathan Horton Gregory Cambpell To Florida: Boston 15th overall pick Dennis Widemen wow Huge deal for Boston, Horton looks ready to explode. Wideman is pretty good I guess, but where the hell is Floridas offense gonna come from now.

northstar91
this amazing offseason for trades continues To Atlanta: Dustin Byfuglien Ben Eager Brent Sopel Akim Alui To Chicago: The 24th pick the 54th pick Jermey Morin Marty Reasner http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=532495 Darn, now Byfuglien is stuck in hockey mediocrity... But, I could see Buff on a line with Antropov and Bergfors, the latter of whom played pretty well as a rookie. Hurts the Hawks quite a bit in terms of grit, though... RedWingDevil
Yeah, I think missing Byflugien will probably hurt a lot in the long run. The Hawks will have to adjust to it somehow.

smozoma
Sergei Kostitsyn (the younger one) traded to Nashville for Dustin Boyd (11-13-24 in 78 GP) and Dan Ellis... seems like a steal, Ellis was decent, splitting time for the first half of the season with Pekka Rinne. smozoma
Chicago contiues to dump salary and the Leafs continue to get stronger offensivly To Toronto: Kris Versteeg Bill Sweat - 7.0C To Chicago: Viktor Stalberg - 7.5C Chris DiDomenico - 7.0D Pilippe Paradis - 6.5C (I added the Hockeysfuture.com ratings above. 7.0 = 2nd line. C = 80% chance he'll be as good as his assigned number (ie 7.0)) When I read that we got Versteeg I was like But then I saw we gave up Stalberg But overall.. pretty even, I guess, long-term? EDIT: first time I've ever seen this... hockey player photo with glasses! Philippe Paradis on TSN
Grayto
Trade is fairly even. Stalberg has some incredible speed and good size but hasn't yet put them to use. He has the potential to be 30 goal scorer, but hasn't proven anything yet and could also flop. Versteeg is Stanley Cup Champion and scored 20 goals on the 3rd line while being the same age as Stalberg. He's proven, but doesn't have the tantalizing raw traits of Stalberg. The Russian Rocket
Then again, Phillipe Paradis has to be one of the worst 1st round picks ever. How do you get traded 2 times before finishing Junior?
RedWingDevil
Been a few days, but Michael Leighton stays put in Philly on a 2-year 3.1 mil contract. On top of that, they got Evgeny Nabokov as well. At least one position has been settled. Edited July 3, 2010 by RedWingDevil
