Carse Posted June 8, 2011 Report Share Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) Carse (Buf) is back to his 3rd finals in as many years with his third team after an extremely entertaining and tough series vs sebe (Det). Buffalo threw multiple hay makers that have ended many series in the past, but Detroit would not go away quietly. Tight games all the way. The turning point of the series was late in the 2nd period of game 4 when Detroit had managed to cut the 4-0 Buffalo lead down to 4-3 midway through the 2nd. Shortly after, Lafontaine scored a goal to get the lead back up to 5-3 going into the third. The Sabres never looked back, as they went on to score another 4 goals to put the game out of reach.
