smozoma Posted November 15, 2011 Report Share Posted November 15, 2011 From Elliotte Friedman: heard that one of the ideas is re-seeding the teams when they reach the Stanley Cup semifinals. Instead of it being West versus West and East versus East, there is a proposal to have the highest-seeded team facing the lowest and second versus third. Don't know how much support there is, though. This actually sounds like a decent idea... Why do we need to have West vs East?
