I think a case could be made for all except Crosby (way too early on him)

Gordie played pro until he was 51! 41 points in 80 Games in the NHL that year! Even put up a goal and an assist in 3 playoff games (swept in a best-of-5)

Totally agree. Orr and Howe are worthy, but based on level of unbelievable skill, consistency and championship success, it's got to be the Great One.

Yep, I voted for Gretzky, but was very tempted to vote for Howe, since this was best 'athlete' (which seems a bit different than best player). He barely missed any games, even in his 40s and 50s, and was a consistent top producer (3rd in league scoring at 40 years old). What a beast.

I suppose decathlon athletes should be in this tournament :P
