Orr and Howe are worthy, but based on level of unbelievable skill, consistency and championship success, it's got to be the Great One. smozoma Posted January 18, 2013 Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 Yep, I voted for Gretzky, but was very tempted to vote for Howe, since this was best 'athlete' (which seems a bit different than best player). He barely missed any games, even in his 40s and 50s, and was a consistent top producer (3rd in league scoring at 40 years old). What a beast.
