ToastmasterGeneral Posted February 20, 2013 Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 Hey ya'll, I've been working on this rom trying to update the rosters for NHL94 to the current years rosters. All team rosters are updated with the proper players on each team. My only gripe with my rom is some of the player ratings could probably be more meticulously rated and the lines are most likely in need of some adjustment on certain teams. if anyone would like to take a look at it and give a hand in helping it would be greatly appreciated. Like I said the rosters are all updated for this year, the final tweaking just needs to be done. Would anyone like to participate in updating '94 to this year with me? Sorry if someone is already doing this, just trying to give back and participate in the community. Thanks. I have five teams left to do and I've been getting about one done per day. the stats and a few other things will still need tweaking, but I will have rosters and lines done. When the puck is sliding around on the ice, sometimes it looks like a backwards letter "c" with the pink shadow. Not sure if that can be fixed. By any chance could you possibly take a screenshot or know specifically when it happens? I dont know what would cause that, maybe a tile editing problem or something, I'll look into it, thank you for your feedback its much appreciated, I'd like ot get this rom to be the best that it can. Regardless of how the actual lines shake out, I'll put down a current lines suggestion just based on how the player ratings stack up: No line changes: Crosby ©, Malkin (lw), Iginla (rw), Orpik (d), Letang (d) SC1: Crosby, Kunitz, Iginla, Orpik, Letang SC2: Malkin, Morrow, Neal, Martin, Murray CHK: Sutter, Cooke, Dupuis, Niskanen, Eaton PP1: Crosby, Malkin, Iginla, Letang, Martin PP2: Sutter, Morrow, Neal, Orpik, Despres PK1: Sutter, Cooke, Orpik, Murray PK2: Vitale, Glass, Eaton, Letang Extra FWDS: Kennedy, Jeffrey, Bennett, Adams Extra D: Engelland, Bortuzzo Goalies: Fleury, Vokoun Despres and Bennett will be sent to AHL Wilkes-Barre until after April 3rd to make room on the roster, and then brought back when limit will be spending cap and not 23 man roster. Even so, I expect another move will be coming to clear up at least one more roster spot. Currently Bortuzzo is on a conditioning assignment to AHL for three games. Clearly this will need one more edit once the dust clears. A bit weird since the Pens are carrying 8 defensemen, not sure how the game handles that. You have P. Martin among the forwards, so he can't be subbed for D-men. Also, Z. Boychuk was released (and picked up by another team already, and picked up by yet another team, and possibly headed for AHL after he clears waivers) and replaced in the lineup by defensemen Mark Eaton. I put a question mark next to Depres since Engelland and Bortuzzo also get playing time, but Pens are giving Despres a lot of opportunity, either so he can stick or because they're shopping him to pick up a top six winger. As for PP and PK (more or less): PP1 - Crosby ©, Malkin (lw), Neal (rw), Letang, Martin PP2 - Sutter, Bennett, Kunitz, Niskanen, Despres PK1 - Sutter, Adams, Cooke, Orpik PK2 - Vitale, Glass, Eaton, Engelland *Edited once to add the note about Eaton joining the lineup. *Edited a second time to reflect trades for Brenden Morrow, Douglas Murray, and Jarome Iginla. New York Islanders: Cant read the orange "Islanders" on their center ice logo. San Jose Sharks: The shark logo on their center ice logo is missing the teal highlights. Toronto Maple Leafs: Cant read the words on their logo on center ice. Buffalo Sabres Buffalo and sword color on center ice logo are yellow instead of white. Sword handles on center ice logo are blue instead of yellow. Chicago Blackhawks: Logo on center ice is too dark Columbus Blue Jackets: Logo on center ice needs to be cleaned up. Scutum Posted March 12, 2013 Report Share Posted March 12, 2013 Couple other notes: * Toronto center ice logo seems to be washed out, looking more white than blue. * Penguins center ice logo seems to have a blue tint to it instead of a black and gold look. * Penguins home jerseys... they appear dark blue instead of black. Did you opt for the third jersey instead of their usual colors? * I've noticed I can't load saved lines for the Penguins. I don't know if that's true for everyone, but it seems to have trouble with Paul Martin. As I mentioned previously, he's a defenseman you have listed among the forwards.
