Ken Posted May 22, 2006 Report Share Posted May 22, 2006 sorry if this is posted elsewhere. what are the rules re: reseeding? ie if the 2,3,4 and 8 seeds advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs, what will the second round matchups be? also, I'm assuming there are no byes b/c we have 8 teams? We didn't have any upsets by seed until the conference finals last season, so it never came up, but I'd think we'd do highest seed versus lowest in the second round, since it'd be kinda stupid to do it otherwise. Evan Posted May 22, 2006 Report Share Posted May 22, 2006 Yes, you got it. 8 teams make it from each conference (no byes) and yes.. the higher seeded teams will always play the lower seeded teams just like in the NHL.
