jbalicki10
Halifax wanted me to check out if it is possible to play 5 players or 2v2 from 4 different computers. The answer is YES and NO. Yes you can do it, but no you cant with the emulator you are using. In order to play snes online with multiple people, you need to get 1) Kalliera Server - Needs to be installed on one machine to act as the server to connect to. http://www.kaillera.com/download.php Edit the .conf file so Public=0 and AllowWebAcces=0. That isn't necessary, it's just better to run it that way. You can also changethe server name and message stuff however you like. 2) Snes9k - Snesx Port with Kalliera Support (built in client) http://goebish.free.fr/snes9k/ Step 1) Download and extract Kalliera Server on a computer. Run the executable. Make sure the port is opened for others to join. Step 2) Download and extract Snes9k. Run Snes9k. Make sure your connection type is LAN - 60 keyframes. Now find out what your ip address is. Add ':27888' to that address. Nowyou've something that looks like 275.68.210.219:27888. That is the IP address you want people to connect to so they can watch you play. Youget no lag at all because you connect to the server with 0 ping and update the controls 60 times per second without fail. People can seewhat you're doing and it works fine for some reason. This is all found in the Kalleria settings. Step 3) Select Play a Kalliera Game. Click Enter IP. Enter the IP of the Kalliera IP. Step 4) On the player who is creating the game, make sure MULTITAP is enabled. Then Create your game and wait for others to join. Step 5) Start game and enjoy. I will answer any and all questions here.... FAQ: Do I need Hamchi? Yes/No, you can use it if your lazy about opening ports... jbalicki10
Tried some games on the net. Its just way to laggy to play.... but it did work... (in theory at least) Update: Kashim found a way to get game evened out. Basically you download the latest snes9k. This allows you to use the kalleria servers. From there you pick one that is in between the players... Still laggy if you play interconitinet games, but if your in teh same region it works great!
