CamKneely
GM 1 EDM 6 @ PIT 12 GM 2 EDM 7 @ PIT 9 GM 3 PIT 6 @ EDM 5 GM 4 PIT 9 @ EDM 8 Result, your winner, and inaugural TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD...Ren "Mad Dog" Hoek, and...wait...I mean, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Game 1 was a yawner that resulted in Mario lazily skating around with the puck for the last ten seconds, giggling like a schoolgirl at the porous Edmonton defense. Game 2 was close for the first two periods, then as they have done all season, the Penguins seized control like a speed-addled Lamb Chop. Game 3 was the only real close one, as the Penguins trailed by a goal with a minute left and Barrasso got stuck in the net. Mario had the puck on his stick and worked his magic, tying it up, then scored again to seal the win. Game 4 was fun. Stevens got knocked out early in the second, bringing to mind flashbacks of Rich Pilon and the '93 playoffs. Luckily understudy Troy "Leave Me A" Loney was salivating on the bench, waiting for his shot at glory. He finally got it, on the grandest of stages. No, not Wrestlemania, Game 4. He finished with a goal and two assists, including a feed to Mario for the game winning one-timer with 30 seconds left, and punctuated by a monstrous hit that knocked Corson into the Oilers bench as time expired. clockwise
As the Pens drank bubbly from the chalice of chalices, they paused to propose a toast to all 2on2 players for a great campaign.27 2on2 games were completed in less than a month, impressive. I already knew it was fun to play, but this solidifies 2on2's viability as a tournament format. There will probably be 2 more teams added into the fold come next tournament. Details to come.ggs

clockwise
Back by popular demand, after an extended hiatus, the almighty 2on2 tournament makes it's triumphant return.Although 2 teams from the first season have vacated the tournament, the format has been expanded with the addition of four more teams, bolstering the number of coaches to 12, in what's set to go down as battle of epic proportions in the annals of '94 glory.Squads are:clockwise / Cam Kneely - Pittsburghnewjerseykiller / addisonbr - ChicagoHABS / crossbar94 - Los Angelesskoolyardpuck / thegr8199kings - San JoseMatt Hurray / xdeathsbloodx - Edmontonkgman / hokkeefan - FloridaKeeping with tradition, the format will be identical to last time, with both teams facing each other twice, in a home and home fashion. Only the number of games have been increased. At the duration of the regular season, the top 4 teams will enter into a best of 7 series.Go to http://2on2.oshlhockey.com for schedule, stats and updates.Good luck to all. addisonbr
Can someone update the front page of the 2on2 web site? I can't figure out who's actually in the league with what teams; the posts in this forum seem to contradict the information on the page.
