CONGRATS TO THE RANGERS! FIRST TEAM TO CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT 2015!

Rangers-Islanders divisional finals (conference semifinals) or conference finals? Would be good.

NHL should consider reseeding after the first playoff round or at least for the semifinals (last four), there is no chance to enjoy Stanley Cup finals like Canadiens-Maple Leafs, Red Wings-Maple Leafs, Bruins-Canadiens etc. Five of original six teams in the east, Chicago in the west. Or use the European playoff format 1-16, 2-15 like it was used in 1980 and 1981 seasons, it would make the playoffs more interesting imo.

don't think we'll see that for a very long time. Playoff series are already a war of attrition, adding more time and miles to travel would be worse for them.

NHL is way too spread out geographically to make it happen. Would be cool though.

If the Islanders keep falling in the standings and the Rangers finish 2nd they may meet in Round 1! Would be a lot of fun for sure. I feel as if it is going to happen. It is the last year at Nassau for the Isles, so I feel as if it is destiny for the 2 teams to meet 1 last time in the playoffs! :)
