halifax
Love the AJ pic bud! "He finished 3rd out of 256 players at the King of 94 Tourney in Toronto and he won the Tournament in Saskatoon". That's not entirely accurate.
smozoma
He was 3rd of 64 sega players If this $50 rule were active my entire NHL94 career, I would still have $0!
CoachMac
Americans are known to exaggerate. 64 or 256 Really does it matter. Wait until you here my fishing stories this summer. But seriously, I made the corrections on the web-site. Can't do anything about the flyer. http://www.nhl92.com/ Should be interesting if we get any kind of turn out. Not really a hockey hot bed, but I have my HS marketing class working on it, the CC Visitors Bureau, and the Retro Replays store. Hopefully it won't be me and AJ sitting around playing. Chicago vs Ottawa exis. Anybody want to come out? I'll pick you up at the Reno airport, and take you skiing, fishing, etc..... in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. Great time of year out here. Some days you can snow ski in the morning and water ski in the afternoon, then play 94 at night.

smozoma
Sounds like it's too late for the poster, but just in case, I thought it looked a bit cluttered and tried to make it more eye-catching: RetroReplays94Tourney.doc RetroReplays94Tourney.clearcover.doc

angryjay93
It felt like 256 players were in the Toronto tournament!?!?!? It's the wild west we're playing in, Coach is right, things are always are exaggerated, the stories are always better that way.

CoachMac
Retrothon 11 went down last night and AngryJay dominated 94, but did not win the Overall Title as he lost in the TSB Super Bowl. JR9 wins the Overall Title by taking TSB, NBA Jams, and RBI Baseball. Still an impressive showing and a good time. We also played tons of exis late into the night and then more 94 today. The format in 94 was Single game Playoff. 3 minute periods. Penalties OFF Line Changes OFF We had 5 guys. Pick any team you want and you need to win the Cup by beating every other guy, who took turns randomly getting whoever came next. As an added challenge for AngryJay, he could only select OTT, TB, and SJ. Well, he won the Cup with all three and denied anyone else a Cup. Official NHL 94 Records AngryJay 13-0 (3 Stanley Cups) CoachMac 6-5 CaptCojack 3-6 JR9 2-7 Houk 1-7 His first run with Ottawa may have been the most impressive as Daniel Bertiaume pitched 4 shutouts. Also winning the Conn Smythe with Robin Bawa for SJ. After the Official Tourney we played some additional Cup Runs. AngryJay ran the table with the '82 Islanders, won the Cup and was 17-0. CoachMac fell to 6-9 The 1977 Atlanta Flames finally put a blemish on his record as they tied the 1977 Maple Leafs 6-6. In fact only a late Darryl Sittler goal prevented AJ from suffering his first loss. I won a couple of exis against the other guys so when we finally hung it up last night. AJ 17-0-1 Coach 8-9-1 Today we played some WBF Classic Cup runs and I was able to deny him any more Cups. SJ (AngryJay) all games vs Coach Mac vs CGY win vs VAN win vs CHI loss 1-2 in OT OTT (AngryJay) all games ve Coach Mac vs MTL win 2-1 in OT vs BUF win 5-1 vs WSH loss 2-3 Final Record for the weekend AngryJay 26-2-1 Edited April 11, 2016 by CoachMac

smozoma
Ohhh right! I have a Gretzky in the basement (it's actually my brother's..). It has rounded "corners" so you can slingshot the puck into the slot, right? I ran a tournament with one aaages ago http://michaelcapewell.com/tablehockey/2003/ (Dennis/Dervin was there, too)I've also got a Coleco, it's in rough shape. CoachMac
That was actually just our regular Retrothon Tourney at my house in Post #12. The event in Carson City was cancelled due to lack of sign-ups. Just not enough interest in Hockey in this area.
