Coach Mac's Historic Roms

CoachMac

Recommended Posts

The decade ROMs were always a collection of specific years (84 Oilers, 87 Flyers, etc.)

For the 80s one posted above, I posted the list of specific years once before. I can find the list. (It is now quoted below.)

I never saw a decade ROM for the 80s other than the one posted above. It would be on my Christmas wishlist, though.

Matt55 Do you have the 1980 Olympic Rom? I can't find it and I know it was there before but it's not.

I will look for 80 Olympic one, but the Olympic teams were also included in the nhl 1980 ROM.

New Team Selection logos for Historic Teams. (shows the year)
Some new Splash screens.

All of these new roms are Classic.

Instead of making a huge Historic Rom with lots of teams and players I am not interested in I just put 6 teams from different eras on each rom with the 24 Original teams (removed the All-Stars, Ducks, and Panthers)
I find Classic roms just play better, or seem more fun, or just seem more frantic.

Here are the 6 Splash screens. Credit to @smozoma for the Bure/Vernon screen.

Sorry to bump this thread but I wanted to thank you Coach for all the great edits and your hard work and effort put into them.

I had a hard drive failure and lost a lot of my NHL 94 collection that wasn't on my old PSP and while I was trying to rebuild my collection, I noticed that all the links to Coach's roms in the first post seem to be dead.

I'm not sure if Coach has any of the these files or if another member might be able to share them here.

The roms currently dead are:

NHL'93classic.bin
NHL'94classic.bin
NHLclassic+6.bin
NHLclassic+69-73.bin
NHLclassic+75-78.bin
NHLclassic+81-85.bin
NHLclassic+86-91.bin
NHLclassic+usa.bin
2v2'Slapshot.bin

Hopefully someone was smarter than me and has these backed up somewhere :)

Thanks again Coach for all your hard work!

Downloaded these a couple years ago. Guess it would make sense to post them here if the links are indeed dead.
Hope the file all still work.
