Thanks to @Puck Junk, here's a page from Igor Kuperman's original ratings for the Blackhawks.  Interesting that Shot Accuracy isn't specifically listed there, but we know that was a direct link to shooting percentage.  I also notice that offensive awareness isn't there (was that also based on a stat?) and fighting is there, futher proving this was originally in the game and taken out at the end.

How much can I LOVE this!:red_heart:

Handwritten notes!!!

Super Cool,  Thanks for posting.

Offensive Awareness is based on Season Point Totals.

A lot of these ratings look very close to what they are in the game except for Michel Goulet.

His passing is listed at a 4 but in the actual game it's only a 1. Could have been a typo? Also his shot power is written as 3 but it's a 2 in game. Lastly, his stick handling is 4 on the sheet but 3 in game. Not sure if the last two are a typo or late adjustments.

I could spend hours looking at these things

Wow, did not immediately know that.  Very cool.

Ha, I had the same feeling...I wanted to compare this sheet with the game ratings and note the discrepancies!

Goulet would have a respectable 1st liner with those original stats!

This is awesome! Never seen anything like this before

Poor Goulet. The guy had six straight seasons of at least 48 goals. Even in the high scoring 80's, that's pretty amazing.

This is cool. I'd like to see some more of these. I have a NHL Super-Series guide from 90-91 (it's like Zangeif vs Guile) and he wrote it.

I think it must have been a typo, or changed by developers to lessen Chicago’s strength. Interesting fact, in the EA 93 version one year before he was ranked an 83 overall

By the way, I tried contacting him via email several months ago. I sent a nice email to three different addresses I had found online for him. Heard nothing back.

I was hoping he would be willing and able to share more of his original notes.

I just noticed...

Goulet's changed stats look they were accidentally copied from the player above him in the sheet, Cam Russell. Easy mistake to make with the printout (probably a fax!) being a little tilted.

StickHandling: 4->3
Passing: 4->2
Slapshot: 3->2

And I bet his fighting rating (the one rolled into the Handedness byte in NOSE) would also correspond to a 2 instead of a 3, that would prove the theory.
