SSiG
In a total one-sided blowout, the Calgary Flames showed that anyone with half a brain (no knock at anyone) could defeat the New Jersey Devils. The media before the season declared that the Mickey Mouse days were here again in New Jersey. They were right, in a HUGE way. Calgary just outclassed the lifeless Devils all over the ice as they danced off with a 8-0 whipping. Theo Fleury made Bob Essensa look like a pee wee goalie with 5 goals. The Devils just seemed dis-interested in playing hard for new coach Tom Delgado. "Calgary's an incredible team. So many stars. If this team played like it did tonight, it'll be the first of MANY beatings this season. I'm embarassed to be associated with these overpaid and overrated pieces of trash right now." Delgado said begrudgingly before leaving the Brendan Byrne Arena in disgust. Fleury's Stare Sends Devils Home Crying
Flames4LifeFLA
That's a good picture of Theo, man do I miss him playing for the Flaming C... It was a good game, New Jersey has lots of stars-they are certainly capable of winning hockey games...Calgary just got all the bounces and luck.
