angryjay93
In a game that took 4 days to complete (thanks to controversies and technical difficulties) the Sharks finally faced off in full agains the Blueshirts. It was well worth the wait as the Sharks escaped with a 5-3 victory. Captain Pierre Turgeon was able to get back on track with a hat trick against Mike Richter who looked a bit overmatched at various points in the game. "It's about time i started scoring again, we've been struggling a little bit lately with consistency and hopefull this performance is a step in the right direction for me as a player and us as a team," said Turgeon. Jimmy Carson also stepped up with another big performance by producing a goal and 3 assists, his move to San Jose has launched his career to the next level. Tommy Soderstrom provided another night of solid goalkeeping by keeping the dangerous Ranger forwards like Mario Lemieux and Geoff Courntall at bay with onle one goale a piece. "We were just able to put a real solid game against one of the beasts from the east, if we can play like this every game, were gonna be dangerous, real dangerous, teams need to start looking out for us because were very hungry," exclaimed and excited Soderstrom. While the Sharks have had a quick start to the season, they are tied in first place with 3 other teams atop the western conference, performances like these must be commonplace if they hope to sniff the playoffs.
