A new theme has emerged this season for the San Jose Sharks, it is balanced scoring. Pierre Turgeon and Mark Recchi each had 2 goal, 3 assist nights while Jimmy Carson notched another hat trick for his breakout season in a 7-2 win over the Nordiques. Carson and Turgeon paired up to score the games first 5 goals and create havoc for the other team all night.

"We faced some pretty tough defense tonight, but we just worked through some checks and made the plays when they were there. It feels good when you see everyone on the team contributing, its hard to stop a team when anyone can score at anytime," said the Captain.

Goalie Tommy Soderstrom has picked up his game as of late with a strong 7 save performance tonight.

"Things are starting to look a litle bit bigger, i just need to take this performance and gain some confidence from it, hopefully more games like this are to come," said Soderstrom.

Next up on the schedule for the Sharks is a trip to Alberta to face the Oilers with the return match in San Jose coming immedeatly after.
