Gartner Lights Up The Lamp For Five

Mike Gartner had 5 goals to lead the Bruins to a 7-2 win over the Devils, who continue to be the worst team in the league.

"We still suck, but we're improving" Tom Delgado, coach of the Devils said in the locker room after the loss. "We have a ways to go to get to where we want to be, but we're taking baby steps."

Doug Gilmour added a pair, but it wasn't enough. It was good enough for his 7th and 8th goals of the season though, putting him 42nd in the league in goals.

"I was feeling good out there tonight. I like where we're going now, not trying to hit all the time. I could get used to poke checking people." Gilmour said on his way out of the Boston Garden.
