SSiG Posted December 18, 2006 Report Share Posted December 18, 2006 Gilmour's Goal and Assist Lead Devs to 4th Straight Victory It was the Devils' first sellout of the season, and their team gave the fans a reason to cheer. Doug Gilmour scored 48 seconds in to give the Devils a 1-0 lead over the Maple Leafs. Later in the period, Craig Janney scored on a beautiful Gilmour pass to make it 2-0. That was all Bob Essensa needed. Essensa stopped 8 shots en route to his first shutout of the season, and his 4th win of the year. "These guys feel really good about themselves right now. We're playing harder than ever, and we're playing with a lot of heart. We want to win so bad, and it's all coming together" Coach Tom Delgado said after the win.
