Hi!  I am new to this site but know of your previous work through a friend.  I wasn’t aware you did a 2025 version until he and I recently hung out and we played some games.  I have played some of your other seasons work in the past.  

As a Flames fan, I want to say how cool it is that you did a tribute to Johnny Gaudreau who was one of my favs when he was on the team.  I look forward to getting in some more games now that I know there is an updated version.

Just started playing this and noticed that for playoff brackets Detroit is in the west and Nashville is in the east. (Detroit vs Minnesota and Florida vs Nashville). I didn't see it mentioned before but could those teams be switched?

I made mention of this in the OP (with a screenshot of the brackets).  Below is that mention...

New playoff scheme.  I didn’t include last year’s playoff bracket – afterall, it’s not the same lineups so, it's not the same experience.  Instead, I did something similar to how the NHL does preseason scheduling and broke it into different regions.  It's not identical but close enough.  It's not the same 16 team bracket each time so you can have a different journey with whichever team you use.

If I do a playoff edition of this ROM (which is the plan for now), it will have the actual brackets for this year's upcoming playoffs (along with updated rosters).

Can it/they be switched...  rather easily if you download the ROM file and then download the NOSE program (for editing ROM rosters) and change/swap the teams.  You can find that program at:

Which version of NOSE are you using... 1.2B or 1.2C?

I used 1.2B when I updated this ROM and as such, needed the correct .ini file that accompanies it (it's included in the download for version 1.2B).  The INI files do play a part (from what I recall) in being able to correctly view all 32 (vs 30) teams in NOSE.  Not sure if the .ini file is different for 1.2C vs 1.2B.  If so, that may be the conflict.

Cool!  I kinda remember this issue coming up before and it was an INI file compatibility issue, then, too.  Good that you got it worked out!

On an unrelated note, looks like the Utah HC was, in fact, looking to use "Yeti" or Yetis" as its new team name/mascot.  But, it appears it just got rejected by the US trademark office.  Somehow, Yeti Coolers, as a product, served as the issue.   It was explained as it was cause consumer confusion.  Not sure I see the "how" or "why".  Anywho, for now, I will continue to use it as a team name, in one of the two season ROMs, as it did serve as (technically) part of their history.

Howdy - I apologize for the delay as we have had some interesting trades of late.  I posted # 7 of the UHC version ROM (new Flyers and Flames players, per yesterday's trade, are in but their jersey numbers have not been confirmed yet). 

The Yeti version of the ROM has been retired from further edits.  However...

I have created a new mascot ROM for Utah.  Introducing the Mammoth version!  It is one of 3 names being voted on right now (along with UHC and Outlaws).  I kinda see Mammoth winning out.  "Hockey Club" is beyond lame and Outlaws might be a stretch given meaning and being in a Mormon state.  LOL
Outlaws was originally a name voted on, way back when, and it didn't get anywhere.  So, I'm going with Mammoth which is growing on me.  If it ends up being Outlaws, I will make a new version for the trade deadline.

While I can take credit for incorporating the Mammoth concept logo into the ROM, itself, I am not its designer.  I found it, online, and made it happen!  See images below.

Of course... as soon as I post these, Saad signs with Vegas and JT Miller is traded to the Rangers.  Ain't that always the way.  LOL

I will have new versions posted in the next day or two.  Finishing up my season rom for Tecmo Super Bowl but this is on my radar (as well) and will be re-posted soon enough.  Thanks for the patience!

Re-posted v7 of the UHC ROM and v1 of the Mammoth ROM.  Both include all recent trades as of 2/1/25.

With the UHC version, make sure, if you are interested in downloading the ROM, to download one noted as "Latest Version."  As noted yesterday, I will no longer be updating the Yeti version.

Seems like the Metro Division is making alot of moves so they can keep pace with the Jackets and that playoff spot. 😃
